Microsoft Teams Integration Improvements

Our team REALLY digs the new Wrike app within Teams! A few tweaks and you've got yourself a winner. Keep up the good work!

Some feedback/suggestions for the app (shown in below screenshot)

  1. Find some way to display the entire task name and project tag. Not sure what the best solution is...Reduce font size, wider columns, rows instead of columns, collapsible columns, something.
  2. If possible, it'd be nice to be able to filter the 'My work' tab by Project/Folder. Not a huge deal though since you can see the project/folder tags for each task.
  3. The horizontal scroll bar at the bottom is a tad faint/thin. It took a while to even realize I could scroll to the right.

Feedback/suggestion for the in-channel tab:

  1. In the Tasklist view, it would be REALLY nice to be able to filter tasks by assignee.

Feedback/suggestion for the channel connector (potential bot???):

  1. Not sure it's possible, but it would be great if the Wrike connector could @ tag the assignee(s) and any others who have been @ tagged in the task's comments.
  2. An even better (my opinion) solution would be to have a Wrike bot (added to a private Chat) that could contact/notify you in a similar manner as the channel connector. It would only contact you regarding updates to your assigned tasks or tasks for which you've been @ tagged in the comments (would follow similar rules to Wrike's inbox section).

Thanks again. Keep rockin'!

Hi Harrison, great to hear from you, and welcome to the Community 🙌

Thanks for this feedback, it's great to hear you're getting value from the integration and the suggestions you've made here are very valuable for our Product Team review.  It's actually prompted me to create this feedback thread where the Product Team can review all feedback in the one place.

I've made the Product Team aware of this post, but feel free to comment again on the feedback thread as you continue to use the integration and have more feedback to share 🙂

Please take my vote to add project name to the task assigned in the My Work tab.  As you can see you end up with a bunch of tasks labeled exactly the same.  A big issue when trying to schedule your work

Is there any update on planned improvements with Teams? The "tasklist" view within channels on Teams is really limited and makes it not a very usable integration.

With the goal of keeping the number of tools (i.e. Wrike, Teams, etc) at a minimum for the benefit of our users, here are two things I trust will be considered, which could improve the Wrike <-> Teams connector.
-------------------------------------------
(1) Since I am not a big fan of the Board View in the Wrike Teams add-on, currently this add-on does not help me much.  It would be very useful if we could see the List and Table Views here as well.
-------------------------------------------
(2) I activated Teams channel tabs for two of our Wrike items:
     (a) The folder (& subfolders) where we keep all our IT Support Tickets (active & solved)
     (b) A project I am currently working on
While these tabs are visible to everyone using this channel, it would be very useful if we could have the same control of Tasks that we have while using the Wrike app for Mac.

Things like this would make the Wrike-in-Teams User Interface more useful:
     (i) Tasks could be sorted so the order (on the left) is more manageable
(ii) The Task comments (i.e. activity log) details are currently not displayed
(iii) For our IT Tickets, folders could be visible so each team member could view only their folder.  Currently it appears as though all Tasks in the subfolders are randomly displayed.
-------------------------------------------
Thanks, Tod.

We recently integrated Wrike into Teams.

While we are still learning there are a few wish list items we would love to see;

1. Calendar view accessible in Teams when adding to a teams tab.

2. The ability to personalize/make changes to the dashboard when logged into the App.

3. The ability to open a task from the timeline view.

Thank you for taking the time to listen and continue to improve this lovely tool!
