Automation folder triggers

Is there any possibility of using folder actions as triggers for automation rule? Specifically for me, I need to be able to inform a teams channel when a new folder is added under a specific folder with a name matching a pattern. I can add an automation for new task under a folder but not for a folder under a folder. If this is not possible what's the best approach here, right now we move a set of tasks to a new folder marking either a release or a new project for a team depending on the folder name pattern and right now the communication and logging of this is manual. If folder creation can be used as a trigger then folder name could be used to notify the right team.
