I personally haven't found a use and need for this yet.

We still running tests, but in some specific locations on our space we are not able to select any other item type after converting it once. Lisa this might be a bug, we are not quite sure

I haven't had need yet, but it has come up in the past where team members built out whole projects as a task with subtasks so I see this being helpful in those instances.

I can't wait to find a use for this!

I can see this being useful in the future since we've previously had people build out tasks with subtasks and then later decided they really wanted a project instead.

Agree - I can see the use cases - but I just need teams ready to make the plunge and make the adjustment - I think some are stuck in the current way of working and afraid to change their structure just yet..

As we are going with a given project structure and clear rules I can not see any need of this feature.

The function is very useful and I'm already using it. It would be great if we could convert several tasks into several projects in the table view.

I haven't found a use and need for this yet, but if it was so requested I'm sure ill need it some time!

I have found this new switch to be very helpful. Some tasks become to large and need to be turned into a project so that more details can be gathered and more members of the team can take part in completing the new project.

When tasks become involved and require multiple sub-tasks, it has been very helpful to be able to convert the task to a project and use project features to schedule the sub-tasks.

I tested this and it worked well, but I would really like to be able to use specific project blueprints...

Tested and it's work.

We haven't started using it but can see how it can be helpful taking a task from an early stage idea and converting it to a project

I haven't used it yet, but I'm glad it's a feature.

Our biggest use case is that new items default to Tasks, so half the time when we create projects we forget to make it a "Project" type first. Just nice to be able to click a button to convert it instead of copying the title before deleting the task and pasting the title into a Project. 🙌

OOOh - I had a GREAT use case for this last week!  I imported a project from another source - where MANY of the items (Projects/Folders) came in as tasks - SO THIS WAS A HUGE TIME Saver to not have to manually create/shift/delete these!  Also works well if you do a large copy/paste list of items - to create tasks with AI subtask creation - then you can just flip any project folder as needed!!

My team has not begun to use this feature yet, but we plan to capitalize on it as we shift from a task-based to a project-based workflow. It'll be very nice to be able to change prior tasks to the same item type as our future projects.

This feature has been helpful for our media team. Our form generates a task for simple requests, like interviews or subject matter experts. If the news or story is elevated for amplification on our media channels, we can easily convert it to a full project. The only downside is that it doesn't retain valuable information in the comments.

This use case sounds like bad planning, converting a task to a project. Don't find a use case for my current setup

We don't really have a need for this feature yet, but I can see how it would be convenient if you indeed have a task that ends up with a lot of subtasks and levels.

I've used this a ton in our team space lately as we made it a goal to optimize our use of Wrike. Most specifically, old tasks have been converted to the new custom task template (or other relevant custom item type) so that we can more specifically track task metrics within dashboards.

We've also set up a custom project type for sprints and I have now converted our on deck sprints to the appropriate item type. While I'm thrilled to be able to do this now, being able to mass edit and change item type would have definitely saved some time.
