Make New Table View work like Old Table View
The New Table View has increased our work load. I now have to click in every field now to edit it, I can't enter or arrow down and edit it I I could in the past. Editing a field used to require a double-click, now a single-click thinks you are editing it. I was told this was to make clicking "more efficient." Instead of having to quickly double-click in the instances I need to edit, I now have click off a field when I'm just trying to view/use the field. For example, when I click on a field to copy/paste it down the table, it thinks I'm editing it and pops up whatever that field's functionality is.
So you have made clicking "less efficient" by requiring a click on EVERY edit, and making the system think I want an edit on every click, even when I don't.
Even when switching to Old Table View to use the enter down functionality, thanks to Lightspeed this is now slow and clunky, where it used to be quick and easy. Fix LIghtspeed/Table View.
Thanks a lot for sharing your feedback on the New Table view Sara Snuggs, we appreciate it!
I've shared it with our Product team 👍

For those following this thread, I have been told you can use the Enter button if it's the MAIN Enter button - the 10-key button does not work, and is the one I most often use in Table View. Even so, you have to Arrow Down, then Enter in the field, then you can edit the field. However, it no longer allows you to overwrite the data, you must delete the data, then re-enter. So for example, now to update 3 durations in a row, what took 6 keystrokes to edit now takes more than double that, 16 with deletions, and it often loses track of me editing and I have to re-click a field to select it again. Absolutely a loss of time and efficiency in this update, in every way. 4 years with Wrike and I have never been so frustrated.

Hey Sara Snuggs, thanks for the follow up and for sharing your experience. I agree this is less that ideal and we've passed this on. Will keep you posted on any changes/developments 👍

Just want to add that the old table view also let you use Tab to go to the next cell, now it for some reason goes down to the add item box at the bottom of the view, which makes no sense.
Sorry, one more thing. I'm really struggling when adding start/end dates within the new table view. They keep changing from what I enter, an issue I don't have when editing dates in the old Table view. I think it has something to do with the automatic calculation and/or the duration (even though I haven't touched that). I also keep accidentally clicking the Min/Max in the start/end date cells.
ETA: This is especially true when copy/pasting dates. I'll copy dates for multiple consecutive subtasks, then copy them for subtasks in a different task. And while it initially shows the correct date, it then changes the dates on me.
Hey folks, thank you for your continued feedback here!
Our Product team has reviewed your inputs here, and they are planning to introduce some additional capabilities like the ability to start typing once you select a cell without having to click into it. They also consider adding the ability to Tab to the next cell to the right. We'll keep you posted.

Now that old table view is no longer available, one more thing I just realized that has made me less efficient. Previously, after I edited a cell and hit enter, it would automatically move to the next row (like in Excel), and I could immediately start typing again. It now stays on the same row and I have to arrow down. So if I'm adding dates for multiple tasks for example, I have to enter a date, enter, arrow down to the next task, enter again to edit (sounds like a fix for this is being planned). And if the date reorders the tasks, the next one I want may be farther down than it was, so I have to arrow multiple times.
So, additional request: Enter after editing a cell should go to the next cell down the list.
1000% agree with Holly Paulsen - The date field is crazy now. The MIN/MAX takes up half the cell so clicking it on records you're trying to edit is pretty much an inevitability. I don't really even understand the payoff in using this function on a date field so often that I would need it to be that accessible.
Sometimes I'll even accidentally click MIN/MAX on a record I did not intend to update at all. It then screws up those dates, which then leads to me having to figure out how to fix it! If the dates were set via Blueprint, then there's no history of what the date was to begin with! Fortunately manually set dates are in the update history for the task at least.
Hi Holly Paulsen and Jason DAquin, thank you for taking the time to share this detailed feedback with us here. We've passed it on to the team working on this and will be back with updates to share soon 👍

Agree with all of the above. Our team is spending much more manual time trying to add or change information in the new table.
Thank you for sharing your feedback, I'll now share it with the team as well Tig McKenzie 👍

One thing we'd like to mention here is that although one click is now reserved for editing a cell, you still can select a single cell by clicking and dragging slightly. Could you please try doing that and let me know how it works for you?

Lisa I just attempted this - I'll be honest, I've decided to just live in Old Table View because New Table View is absolutely unusable for me. The click and drag is not helpful for me. The only thing I switch to New Table View for is to Export the Project instead of the Table. That is very useful, but otherwise, I truly hate New Table View. I have to constantly drag and drop things around to fix priority as I add new schedules since it's now based on "last created" rather than alphabetical, the click issues I've addressed above, the loss of aggregation/auto sum, etc. Overall, I simply cannot use New Table View to manage the hundreds of schedules we have.
Our team is experiencing the same issues noted above and also reverted to Old Table view due to the frustration with the new table and extra time needed to manage projects in the new table.
Can someone share how to revert to old table view? I also find the new table view unusable but haven't been able to figure out how to revert to the old one.
Thank you for your feedback folks, we appreciate it.
Janet VanPelt I've asked your Account manager at Wrike to reach out to you about this 👍
