I'd like to see multiple selections allowed within custom fields. For example, multi-select dropdowns or picklists, checkbox fields, etc.

Agree, definitely need multi-select dropdowns.
Creating one user defined field for each option is not a feasible solution if there is more than 5 options.
I don't understand why I can use it in project requests but not in custom fields.
I would love this too! I'm in Communication for a university, and many of our projects touch multiple audiences (e.g.: first-time freshmen, transfer students, parents, etc). Having this feature would make it easier to track the comm flows for all of our different populations. Please implement!

It would be great if this feature allowed for users to input additional options not pre-determined in the list and have those get added to the list of options (just like traditional tagging functionality). Similar to what's currently available with single select fields, a checkbox allowing managers to enable/disable custom user inputs would be great!
