Board View: allow different default workflow for sub-tasks.
We use the board view like a kanban/trello style view, and these are top-level tasks that have a status (orange, red, green, completed, upcoming). For this we use a Board Workflow.
However, each of these top-level tasks has many sub-tasks that need to follow a more traditional workflow, because they're granular or milestones (unassigned, acknowledged, in progress, completed, on hold, etc). For this we use the Default Workflow.
Unfortunately, by setting the folder to use the *Board Workflow* so that the board displays properly, it makes all the sub-tasks default to the same workflow, which means that we have to manually change them over to the *Default Workflow*. This is very time consuming.
I would love a way to set the sub-tasks to use a different default workflow from the board. I'm sure this is a common scenario for people who use board view.
I support this request, we have the same problem. We have a 10 stage workflow and having the feature of sequentially moving through the ten without having to select the next stage manually would be great.
Hi Matija and Christian! That's a great way of looking at this, love your thinking there! Thanks for sharing this idea on the Community. :)
We have the same need for this feature. It would be very helpful to be able to assign two default workflows to a folder, one for top level i.e. root tasks, and another for subtasks. In some ways this relates to a similar weakness in Wrike, the lack of a board view and workflow for Projects.
We would also like to have this feature!
We definitely have a need for this feature.
Hi, we also need this feature very much.
have been looking for this feature for my personal to-do list for ever!!! do not want to changes the specific workflow of the task, but want to have a board view by importance- what to work on today- this week- this month- long term.
The tasks themselves usually exist in another client specific folder and follow specific workflow, but I tag it to my folder so I dont loos the task and prioritize it according to my schedule.
