 If I add a team member in via @mention to a Folder or Project, do they then receive email notifications (presuming set up to) on ALL activity within that Folder or Project level (i.e. down to all levels of project and task within that folder)?

Hi Suzie, thanks for posting your question here! When you @mention someone on a Folder or Project, they start following their tasks in this Folder or Project and its Subfolders/Subprojects. What is considered their tasks?

  • Tasks created by them.
  • Tasks assigned to them.
  • Tasks which they commented on.

It means they will receive email notifications about changes to such tasks only. If you want them to receive notifications about all tasks in the Folder (Projects) and its Subfolders and Subprojects you can manually add them to the list of followers:

  1. Open a Folder or Project info panel.
  2. Click the “Following” icon that appears in the panel’s upper right-hand corner.
  3. Begin typing a user’s name and select their name from a dropdown list when it appears.

The user will start receiving email notifications about all activity within this Folder or Project, including updates to its Subfolders and Subprojects and tasks in them. I hope this helps, but please let me know if you have any other questions!
