Roll Up

What is the use case for NOT having roll up available at the top level of the space? Right now, we roll up start date, end date, planned cost, actual cost, effort, and time spent. Roll up on each of these needs to be done manually, on each project, each column every time. Aggregation as well. It is time consuming, as we have over 1500 projects.

Is there an easier way to do this or any plans to update the functionality to enable roll up and set aggregation from a top level to ensure efficiency?

Hi Nicole DiTrani, Roll-up and Aggregation features should be available from the Table view of your space:

Once done, all projects will automatically roll up values and dates from tasks. I hope it helps. Feel free to ask if any questions come up 😌

I am aware of those features, I am saying, I need to manually click on enable rollup for all projects, in every column mentioned above, every time I add a new blue print to a project. It doesn't matter if the rollup is enabled on the blueprint, when it is brought into a new project, I must go through and enable roll up and aggregation as you show above for start date, end date, planned cost, actual cost, effort, and time spent.

These features should be done already from the blueprint level, and "all projects" should actually mean on ALL wrike projects, but that is not the case. Maybe this is a bug??

Lisa I wasn't aware of the Rollup "Enable for all projects" option on table view from a Space - thanks for the screenshot.  To Nicole's point, when new projects are created in that Space (either by Blueprint or manually adding a project) will those also automatically rollup?  Or is the screenshot above only impacting the current projects (and not any future projects created there)?  Wasn't sure and wanted to ask.

Nicole DiTrani thanks for the head's up that enabling rollup on the blueprints doesn't automatically enable it when creating a project from it.  I hadn't realized that.

Hi Nicole DiTrani, thank you for elaborating on your use case. When you enable roll-up for "all projects", only existing ones are affected, but currently, it is not possible to have projects roll-up enabled by default for all new items. This is an interesting suggestion, and I would love to see this feature in Wrike. We forwarded your idea to our Product team, and once your feature suggestion reaches 60 votes, we'll add a Product Status here. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention.

Meredith Selden Glad to hear that my comment was helpful. Please make sure to upvote this thread so that our developers know how many users are interested in Nicole's suggestion 🙌

The roll up feature isn't built as an enterprise solution - it only works for reasonably sized folder & it isn't sticky (new items included in the Folder aren't rolled up by default).

For instance, we can't roll up anything for the folder that houses all of our customers, which makes reporting a nightmare. We have submitted support requests to no avail, so that we could enable Roll Up for various features like Effort & Booked Effort via the API or have some assistance so that we could enable roll up for all features in our Customers folder - manually and on repeat.
