Upon submitting a request, task is opened in "Shared with me" - problem
When user submits a request the newly created task is opened for him via "Shared with me" section which is a big problem for us (big account, lots of tasks in the root for different users caused by different activities).
A simple solution would be to open it from "recent tasks" or "tasks created by me" sections at least the list would be shorter so load time would be shorter too. And tasks visible in that instance would be relevant for the user.
Hi Admin Bot, thank you for the feedback!
The submitted request can be found in the Created by me list, and if the list is sorted by date created, it should be at the top of the list. But if I understand correctly, you'd like the request to be open there by default, right?

Lisa I know, as most of our user how to find the object i created. The problem is mainly - that a huge pile of objects starts to load anew every time a request is submitted. Even if i see and have access to the parent folder.
Agreed. System slows to a crawl when just trying to submit a form while it waits to download the entire task DB. Why on earth would I want to see almost every task created by everyone in wrike when focussed on just submitting a form as quickly as possible (I am admin so see everything)!?
Thanks for the feedback everyone! This feedback is being passed on to our Product managers and they'll be using it in future discussions. If you have any other questions, let me know 😊
This is a somewhat similar issue for us. In our use case request forms are submitted into a folder where our users (i.e the creator of the request form) does not have sharing permission, sort of like a clearing house for all request form submissions.
Why is it necessary for the task created by the request for be shared with the submitter? The task should simply follow sharing rules for the folder in which it is created.
I understand that this is happening because the user is the "creator" and therefore always has sharing rights to a task as the creator, this is typically a good thing, but specifically with request forms I wish there was a way to have a option on the request for builder to "turn off automatic sharing for the creator", i would even accept if the "created by" would then show a bot user instead of the submitter. so maybe having an option to "submit request as bot". It isn't (so) important who created the task for me in this scenario, Just that the form gets submitted.
Just my 2 cents
Joel Gold if I needed such a request I would make users fill in External request form, They will not be authors.
But I’d like to have our users be able to submit this from within Wrike using the + Request button.
When they do so, they still see the “request created task” even when the target folder for the task is not shared with them.
Not looking to direct users out of the Wrike interface
Hi Joel Gold, thank you for the use case!
