Using the webinars as a training course

Dear Wrike team,

I'd like to make a suggestion on the use of webinars.

As a person who is in charge of learning and staff development at my organisation, I always welcome data on how our trainees are doing in terms of learning the ins and outs of Wrike. Since there are so many excellent webinars on various features of Wrike, they could be put together into a complete course on using the platform.

The way I see it, this could be done in two ways: a simple one not requiring too many resources, and a more complex one offering greater immersion and better quality data.

1) The simple one

Being logged in, and having watched a given webinar, the trainees have the option of ticking the webinar off and thus indicating that the have 'done it'. This helps me as the training officer to see how the trainees are progressing and indicates the progress of the trainees.

2) The more complex option

Wrike offers so many webinars that they could be easily transformed (without changing or even adapting their content) into a full-blown course on using the platform. Each video could have follow up questions, or maybe could even be linked to a training area where the trainee could be given instructions to test their newly-gained knowledge. The trainees' answers would be tracked and the areas for improvement highlighted. The given webinar/unit could only be ticked off once the trainee has demonstrated they have mastered the given set of knowledge. Implementing such a tool would have numerous advantages.

a) it would be used by the user as a self-study and self-monitoring tool

b) it would ensure the user's greater familiarity with the tool, thus, in all likelihood, improving client retention (anyone who uses Wrike and is well-familiar with the platform would see its full value, and would be less likely to swap it for another similar/promising tool)

c) it would give any training officers in an organisation detailed insight into a trainee's progress (at the moment, for instance, it is really difficult for me to know how the trainees learning to use Wrike are doing). Consequently, it would make the training more robust, as trainees would be encouraged to be proactive and complete the it as quickly as possible, which, at my company would be directly related to their financial conditions at the company.

d) it would make Wrike stand out even more among its competitors. One of the common shortcomings of projects such as Wrike (innovative and very useful platforms that provide information to their clients in a game-changing way) is the way they communicate their content and features to the user. Yes, it's all well to have webinars and send regular e-mails with summaries of updates, but neither of these ensures retention of the new information (and greater familiarity with and attachment to the product) by the user. And, as we can probably agree, the greater the familiarity with the product, the stronger the attachment to the product, the greater the client retention.

What do you think?

Kind regards,

Maciej, Organisational Learning Director at trifermed
