Dashboard setting or category to allow admins to share/edit as owner
It would be very helpful to be able to designate a dashboard as an "account dashboard" or a "team dashboard" so that multiple admins can share, edit, etc the dashboard as needed on behalf of an entire group.
For example, my colleague and I are the Wrike admins for our account. We have split the work of onboarding other departments in our organization and setting up specific dashboards for their entire teams to use. If my colleague is on vacation and a change is needed to a team's dashboard, I have to
- add myself to that team's user group to view the dashboard (provided that the original dashboard was shared with the user group as a whole!)
- duplicate the dashboard my colleague created
- make the requested change
- share the new dashboard with the team
- now the team has 2 versions of the dashboard until my colleague returns and can delete the original (unless individual team members manually un-share the outdated dashboard from themselves)
Similarly, if a team leader created a dashboard for their group but leaves the organization, someone will have to duplicate the original, re-share it, and everyone will have to manually un-share the original from themselves.
In either case, I think it would help if the creator of a dashboard could check a box or something to make the dashboard available for admins to share and edit. This wouldn't be necessary for all dashboards created on an account, but it would streamline some processes for us!
Yes!
This would be so helpful for us too!
This would be very helpful!
This would save us a lot of headache!
Hi everyone, thank you for posting here, I really like the idea 🙂
It is logged with our Product team now and I'll get back to you when I have an update.

Agreed. Multiple Dashboard owners would really help to share out update responsibilities among teammates. Thanks!
@here Wrike actually finally made an update so that users can share admin privileges for their dashboards with other users - not quite as robust of a setting as we would like it to be, but definitely an improvement.
Now, when you "share" a dashboard with a user or a group, you can choose between Read Only, Editor, and Full permissions on the dashboard.
At our company, we've added a soft "requirement" (albeit not very enforceable) that users who share a dashboard with their team that becomes widely accepted/adopted must make at least their manager (if not the Wrike Admin Team) "full users" on that dashboard. So far it's going alright, and again definitely an improvement on complete lack of access previously!
We can't make dashboards editable by others. Read only is the only option. Any ideas?
Hi Steve Swindon, I see that you were already in contact with the Support team in regards to this.
For clarity and for anyone else reading the thread, you can edit a user's role on a shared Dashboard on a Business account or higher.
If you have any other questions, let me know 😊
I can't edit the settings because the group has full access to the space already.
Richard Herzog Is it required for the group to have full access to the space?
