Automatic status change

Hi Pamela, it's a great idea. And auto-assigning by Status was something our team worked on and are thinking of other ways to achieve the same automation for other actions. Right now, there's some thinking about how to achieve something like this but no time-frame on a release. Once I have more information I'll drop back here to update you.

Hey everyone, a quick update here; the Product team are working towards implementing a suggestion such as this one. As soon as I have more information, I'll be sure to keep you posted.

Any update on that improvement ? I have just finished a meeting with my manager and he couldn't believe that a task can't not change automatically to an "Overdue" status (or Atrasada in Spanish) when its time is over.

This is currently not planned by the Product team for the short term. For now, may I ask if you've considered using the Automation Engine as a workaround? I understand this doesn't match exactly to your use case but maybe it might help for the time being.

If you set up a trigger if task status doesn't change in X days - then change task status to "Overdue" then the task will change status.

One way we can do this is by using Wrike’s Automation. You can create a custom “Overdue/Late” active status in your workflow (with a strong color like red) and add an Automation rule: “If the due date has passed → change item status to Overdue/Late,” then apply it to the relevant folders or projects.  Please let me know how this works for you👇🏼
