Desktop App would not update, un-install
Wrike for Windows failed to update itself on every launch for about a week. Eventually I tried to uninstall it - this also failed.
I had to reboot my computer, un-install it, and then install it clean.

This happens to me every time there is a software update, and the problem is, it is not easy to find the updates and I have to take the time to remember how to uninstall and reinstall. Annoying when I am just trying to get some work done.
@Teresa Hey, welcome to the Community 🙂 I'm sorry to hear you're having issues, please let me know if you'd like me to raise a Support ticket for you so that the team could investigate this.

Hello, I've had the same problem for a long time, on multiple computers. Is there a fix yet? Also, today I edited a task description on one computer (which showed the task description being blank) and now find the task description populated with old material on the other computer.
Lisa Hello, is there any fix fort his bug? I am having the same issue as well and would prefer not to perform a clean install with every update. Thank you.
Hi Derek Lemoine and Eric Fletcher, apologies for the delay in getting back to you here.
Are you still experiencing this? If so, let me know and I'll raise a ticket for you for further assistance 🙂

I am having this problem as well. I am using the Wrike app on Windows 10 Pro 64 bit. I currently have Write 2.6.1 installed.
When I load Wrike, I get a message saying an update is available. I click "Install Now". The Wrike app then instantly disappears and that's it - nothing else happens. I can wait as long as I like and when I load the app again, it still says an update is available.
The same thing happens when I use the manual "Check for Updates" function.
It appears that the update functionality is almost completely broken. The app can determine whether an update is available, but it cannot actually install an update and attempting to install an update makes the app crash.
Should I raise a support ticket for this?
Dealing with exactly the same thing as Hugh. Tried to uninstall, but windows doesn't seem to be able to do it. I'm going to try to reboot like the other user, uninstall, then do a clean install. Updates definitely need to be fixed on Win 10 64bit
Hey Hugh Heinsohn and Alex Phillips, I've just raised you a Support ticket. Someone should be in contact with you soon!
Same problem here. Gantt Charts are all ruined.
Also don't have an option to toggle dependencies on in the desktop app so recreating everything via the web based version now requires regathering all of my dependencies manually and without being able to see them in the desktop app.
Hi Michael Krause, I see that you've raised a ticket with Support here. If you have any further questions, be sure to let me know!
Correction, the update is slow but changes in the web app vanish after being created there. They show up in the desktop app and the predecessor feature in Gantt charts has vanished from the desktop app.
Thanks for getting back to us, Michael Krause! The Support team is looking into this and they'll update you in the ticket as soon as they can!

Is there an update on when this will be fixed? We've had this issue since we purchased more than a year and a half ago. My support ticket earlier this year also said to uninstall and reinstall, which is not a sustainable solution. Users will be frustrated and not want to use the product. I'm trying to upgrade now and in the same loop as always.
Hi Vicki Jones, I'm sorry to hear that you're still experiencing this! I'm going to raise another ticket for you so that our Support team can look into this again. Someone will reach out to you soon!
