Hi PJ, I apologize for the delayed reply here. Description fields can't show up on Reports - could content from Custom Fields work?
I'd be interested in this functionality as well, currently we use request forms to allow users to submit work requests, it would be nice to export those requests in report format for easier review, but without the description it's not particularly helpful.
Hi Kysa, thanks for your input. I can see why this would be useful to see.
It would be great if you could upvote Leah's post here who is looking for the same thing and could benefit from your upvote 👍
This would be most helpful. We currently use reports and dashboards in department meetings to give project updates and it would make it much easier if the description of those projects was available in the layout.
@Dave Hi, thanks for reaching out 🙂 Please check out a similar Product Feedback thread - you can +1 the suggestion there 👍

We all agree in my team! We have a LOT of project notes, with project info changing all the time that affects tasks. Really need to report so we have quick glance at the overview. Yes you could use a custom field, but that is only going to work for a short sentence!🙂
Not being able to show the Description Field in Reports is simply - I am sorry - but stupid. Can we get a reason why this is not a basic and obvious functionality.
Hey @Rick, thanks for reaching out!
Descriptions are often large and have heavy formatting, which is why it is only accessible in the Task View.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.

+1, what good is a report if you can't report on the field most used.
Hi @Kieran, welcome to the Community 🙂
Please make sure to +1 this Product Feedback post, it almost has 60 votes; once it reaches this threshold, I'll be checking with the Product team for status there. Thanks! 🙌

I do not see this on the Product Feedback post. Has it been launched? This is a capability that my company needs.
Hi JAN PAULI, thank you for your input.
This suggestion is currently not planned to be implemented by the Product team. If I get another update about this, I'll be sure to update this thread 😊
I would be very interested in this reporting function as well.
Thank you for your feedback Eric Schreifels, and welcome to the Community!

This is really frustrating not to have.
Hi Thomas McColl, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, I do understand where you come from. Please be rest assured that your input has been shared with the Product team, and that if there are any changes in relation to this suggestion, I'll be sure to let you know.
We to would like to be able to pull or view all description fields.
One of the form fields we ask for in our wrike intake form for analysis requests is "please confirm why you are unable to self-serve this ask yourself". We don't use this information other than to confirm it should in fact be a ticket for the team to staff and not something the requestor can do on their own. Thus, it is not in a custom field but displays in the description of the project ticket that is created. I'm looking to run a report of everything folks have noted here across hundreds of projects. If I could export all the projects with their descriptions this would be super easy, but it doesn't seem like I can. Just adding a ++ for this functionality.
Hi Nicole Macias! For your use case, I think there's a solution that should work!
You can create a custom field for this confirmation and then map the answer to "please confirm why you are unable to self-serve this ask yourself" to that custom field. And in reports, you can enable this field to be visible so that the confirmation will be visible as well.
I'm happy to discuss this option further, please let me know if that can be helpful 🙂

Wouldn't that only work for net new form fills and not for the hundred or so I'm trying to review?
Nicole Macias You're right, once you edit the form, its new setup will work for all new form submissions.

unfortunately that isn't what I'm looking for. I needed the responses we have already collected from 2023-2024. We ended up just clicking into hundreds of tickets and copying out that section manually into a google sheet but if the description section could be surfaced in a table view, it would have been a simple export and delete out of any non-relevant content.
Hi Nicole Macias, thank you for your feedback. I've shared your use case with our Product Team 👍
We'll keep you updated in case there are any improvements. Please, let us know if you have any additional questions.
