[Status: Launched! ๐] Table Printing on Gantt
When I print in gantt view it only shows me the gantt chart, not the table next to it. I have the table showing and have emailed with our account manager. We have done a lot of troubleshooting and can't figure out why the table isn't printing to the left of the gantt chart.ย
Hi Danielle! That's actually the intended behavior, only theย timeline portion of the view is printed. Completely understand that you want both printed though. Would it be okay for me to rename your post to something like Table Printing on Timeline? That way others can find and upvote the post as well.ย
@Stephanie, that's totally okay, feel free to rename it. Thanks!ย
@Danielle Perfect, done!ย ๐
I'm really disappointed.ย The program works great online, but if you can't print it out, in a way that most of us would expect it to be print out, then it's a total bomb.ย I expect to see the Timeline AND the table.ย And a printout of what I set up as the schedule, not a screen shot.
ย
How do I upvote this?
ย
Hi David! Just click the "+" icon underneath Danielle's first post here.ย
Please add this feature for printing, it's a huge pain and would be a huge benefit! Printing both table/timeline together is a must!
I upvoted and agree with everyone on this thread.
Please, add this requested feature also to just released snapshot view. It would be a huge advantage if clients could print the schedules themselves, when necessary.
I reported the same issue with Wrike customer support today and below was the answer I received.ย The answer did not resolve my issue.ย ย Hopefully, Wrike could improve their print feature in the near future.ย FYI - Wrike customer support was resourceful.ย This is a product limitation.
"Indeed, the table section of the Gantt chart is not printed, only the timeline part is - https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000328245-Gantt-Chart-Print-Timeline
I've found a similar request in the Product Feedback section of our Community portal - https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360001471553-Table-Printing-on-Timeline please upvote and comment it - our Product Team always consider the most popular requests into account.
As of now, the possible workaround would be to make a screenshot of the table portion and then combine it with the timeline print.
ย I've been able to print a project with 129 tasks and all of them are displayed. There are a couple of reasons why you might not get the whole timeline printed: if a folder or project is collapsed on the timeline, then its tasks are not visible when you print the timeline, also if you filter out some tasks, they will not be printed, the general rule is that if a task is not visible or shown on the timeline, then it wonโt be visible when you print the timeline."
Hello,
I need it also to save the table and the gantt chart.

Have there been any updates on this? The lack of exporting Ganttย charts with Wrike is astounding. I am currently in the trial phases and I'm not sure I can commit to purchasing without at least a timeline of when these features will be out. I currently use Smartsheet and they have numerous export options, all of which work really well.ย
Is there any update on this are is anyone working to address this at Wrike? Not able to print the full Gantt chart with the standard columns is somewhat frustrating.
It is extremely frustrating not being able to print with the side table. Please at a minimum give everyone an option to export to project.
@all, our Product Team are aware of this thread and have been reading the feedback here. It's something they plan toย review this year, however, it's not currently on their roadmap. Once I have any further updates, I'll be sure to post back.
For now, it would be great to hear some more specific use-casesย of when a printed version would be beneficial for you. This helps the team understand the different ways you're using this feature. Thank you ๐
Agree, this is a necessary feature to be able to add all of the columns that can be viewed in the Table view (including Custom Fields), hiding whichever ones are not needed, with the Gantt Chart viewed on the right just as you have the option to do in MS Project so that we don't have to maintain two separate schedules with the same information. We need to be able to print off the information to a PDF, preferably with the option to hide all of the extra information that is currently displayed on the Gantt Chart itself such as the task's title and assignee - if they can be displayed on the left hand side then they aren't needed next to the bars again.
This is a needed feature (printing the table & timeline), and also need to be able to see all custom fields that might be added in Table view - view- able in Gantt chart view as well.ย ย
Stephen Orowe,
A few specific use cases for a functional print and/or save to PDFย function are:
All it needs to do is match the web view, with task titles and start/end dates down the left. This isย what everyone expects to see when looking at a Gantt chart, and I assume it's why the web interface shows it this way.ย
Yes this feature is crucial, current I have no way to keep or send a hard copy of the schedule to anyone.
ย
We really need this feature - the ability to export table and gantt view in PDF. It is pretty rudimentary in regards to program management needs.
Thanks
We've come up with a solution that involves putting the task table in an excel file and using screenshots of the gantt chart, then adjusting so everything lines up.ย It's a huge waste of time, and I've stopped using Wrike for new projects. It's not worth the hassle.
New to Wrike and I was surprised that this is not possible since it's a basic function. I can't understand why thisย is not standard. First post goes back to March '18 and the first post of James Powell gives a nice overview why this is needed. Hope there's somebody at Wrike picking this up very soon.
Hello All, I am new to wrike and this is absolutely something that should be a feature of the tool. The platform is a great one but if I find a different one that will let me print the chart then i would definitely pick it. Something as simple as printing should be automatic. Not sure how to upvote but here is my vote for them to bring this to lifeย
This is definitely a huge gap and be a motivation to look at other products.
I agree. This is becoming a "make or break" open issue that is the critical factor on our Office's decision on renewing our paid membership. When we send these schedules to outside members, having the table included in the PDF is a must for all project management coordination.
Tempted to use Smartsheet instead.
Hi, I agree it is critical for my team to e able to print on a written report the table + Gantt Chart together. We are also using Wryke under an evaluation period for a year and this issue has been a big disappointment. One way that I managed to overcome that problem (not ideally) is by exporting the table to excel and then to a trial version of PM from microsoft. There you can print and report your information there in multiple ways.
+1 to all of this
It is absolutely astonishing that I can't export a Gantt chart (either to printer / PDF / image / whatever) with the table and the schedule together.ย
I use Wrike for the planning - but a MUCH broader audience need to see a representation of the schedule. This is crazy.
Stephen from the product team asks for examples of when this would be beneficial - I'd like to ask for ANY example of when a Gantt chart with no table is useful? Can't think of one.
ย
Hey @Everyone, thanks for your continued input here. I've checked with the Product team, and it's not on the roadmap at the moment due to other planned enhancements. I'll update you here when there are news.ย

What more basic functionality would take priority over something like this? Come on... it's a basic print formatting issue.
Hi, everyone, in the meanwhile Wrike team make the feature there is a way to print gantt chart + table using "Snapshot" (above right menu in gantt chart view). If you enter to snapshot created you have print option. Be aware you must readjust scale to print it in 1 page.
