Retain setting between views

Please can settings be retained between different views in a project? For example, column widths in a table, expand all, custom rows hidden/expanded in timeline.  It is very frustrating that those settings are not retained when you go back to the particular view.

Thanks.

Hi Rob! Just want to make sure I understand - you want to change settings for a particular Project (column widget, etc), then you switch to a different Project, and when you switch back to the original Project you want all your settings to be the same as the last time you looked at it?

Hi Stephanie, I'd like to retain the settings even when just moving between view in the same project (as well as between projects).  For example, if I use table view and set column widths, show/hide tasks etc. I get the table looking how I want, but if I then swap to list view and then back to table view, those settings have returned to default again.

Jumping in here for Stephanie Rob.

I know our Product team have been thinking about this and discussing it recently so this post really helps how people would like to use this feature.

If and when something like this is put on their roadmap I'll be sure to share with you here. Thanks for posting!

Yes please!  we are using Wrike Table view for portfolio management and it really slows things down to have to keep resizing columns at the start of each meeting.  Seem minor, so frustrating from a user perspective and reason why team members still want to use excel.

Are there static column widths yet? Within table view, it's a pain at the moment that they always change.

Hi guys, have you tried the new Table View in Labs yet?

It covers some asks here; like saving column width between views and expand/collapse views while saving this as you move to another view or folder/project.

It would be great if you could came back and let me know if this meets the requirement and any feedback you have while this feature is in Labs 👍

Perhaps similar feedback -

If I set the default view of a folder to Board - it wants to use the All Tasks view, I would prefer it to be All Active Tasks and remember that choice by folder.

One folder maybe All Active Tasks another may be All Tasks, but moving between views should not reset these sub sort and sub ordering settings like OP has requested.

Hi Nate Wintringer, thank you for letting us know your feedback! Have you checked out the New Wrike Experience that's available in Wrike Labs? Wrike Views are available in the New Experience, they enable you to customize, filter, and save view settings to display the right workspaces for you and your team. Please let me know if it helps 👍

Hi Lisa, Thank you for your response and the links to the Wrike Labs. I did enable the New Experience for myself. I then navigated to the Dev Space and the Dev folder and noticed the Filter presets drop down. I picked the 'All Active Tasks' - it defaults to All Tasks. I then navigated to another folder and back and it did not retain the Filter preset of 'All Active Tasks' - is it supposed to save this automatically or do I need to take action the view to save the filter preset? Thanks!

Thank you for getting back to me, Nate Wintringer! Here's what you can do:

First, create a custom view by clicking on the "plus" button:

Add a title to it (in my case, it's "Custom View") and configure it:

Then click on the three-dot menu next to the view's title, click "Save" and set it as default:

Now this custom view is configured and set as default for a particular folder, project, or space.

Hope this is helpful! Please let me know if you have any questions 👐
