Timetracking

Hi,

timetracking in wrike is very time consuming and not comfortable to use for us.
Wrike does only offer EITHER an overview of previous tracked time entries OR the opportunity to add a single time entry. We often work with several persons on one task. Additionally we usually track the time for multiple days at once. Thus, it's absolutely necessary to have an overview of all time entries AND to have the possibility to add a new entries to these. The mobile app does have this view, but the web application does not.

So we would have following suggestions:
Add a timelog overview in the task menu, where you also can add a new time entry (like in the mobile app)

Kind regards
Marco

Hello Marco Eberl, thank you for posting!

If I understand you correctly, viewing and editing time entries on the Timelog View doesn't help in your case?

When you view the timelog of a particular folder, project, or space, you can see and edit entries added to all tasks and subtasks directly from that folder, project, or space as well as all descendant subfolders and subprojects.

Please let me know if that helps 🙋🏻‍♀️

Thanks, but unfortuantely that doesn't help, because when i want to to add new time entry i can't see the existing ones. And when i have an overview of existing time entries, i can't add a new one.

Marco Eberl When you are on the time sheet view looking at the overview of your time for a specified week you can add time in for any task listed there by hovering over the corresponding block for that task and the desired day and hitting the "+" symbol. Since Wrike will only list the tasks that are assigned to you and are currently active for that given week by default, if you need to add a task in you can just hit the add task at the bottom of the list and type its name in or paste its hotlink. Hope this helps.

Greg Leff Thanks Greg. I know that feature. Is it only included in the resource add on, right?

I had a look on it, but it also doesn't help because i only see the tasks for specific persons in a specific week. So it's helpful to track my time in the current week but it's not helpful to have an overview for a specific project.
We do project management and project manager need an overview of all time entries of a specific project or task.

What we need is the view on a project/task to answer following questions:
- Which persons have tracked their time entries for this project?
- How many time entries have every persons already tracked in this project?
- How many time is left to the agreed budget of the project/task?

Marco Eberl I believe you do have to have the resource add on for any of this but there is the time log view under a project in which I can see how many hours have been worked on a project as well as who worked them. You could possibly get a more detailed report of this information that would contain everything you are looking for but I think you would need the Analyze package to do so.

Yes, that's right. But there i have no opportunity to add a new time entry. And that's the problem what's make time tracking so complicated for us.

Marco Eberl I see what you are trying to do now. You are correct, there is no way to add time to anything in this view. It acts as more of a report then a editable view.
