I can kick this off by recommending one of my recent favorites, "21 Lessons for the 21st Century" by Yuval Noah Harari. This book offers analysis of the most pressing issues of our time, encourages readers to think critically, and provides practical guidance on cultivating key skills like resilience, adaptability, and empathy. I think it can be very useful for professionals in any field!ย

In Zeiten der Grippe: Ein Projektmanagement-Krimi (I do not now if it is in English available). Not realy a knowledge book, but an intrinstic view on project management and you can even read it for fun if you like crime stories.
Also in German: "Ziele sind fรผr Loser". I don't think it is available in English, because it is a German author. I do not agree with all thesis but it is good to start thinking about goals (in work and life).
Last but not least "The big five for life".
"Surrounded by Idiots" ... really talking about types of people (personalities) and how to relate to those that aren't the same as you. What color are you?
Have to second "How to Win Friends and Influence People" - it's such a good way of (re)framing interactions and how to achieve your goals.
How to lead when you're not in charge
An oldie but goodie: Seven Habits of Highly Effective People!
Hands down, has to be Fearless Facilitation by Cyndi Maxey and Kevin O'Connor for me. Definitely helped me when I was a new Scrum Master working with software engineering teams, and I re-read it every few years because it's chock full of good info and inspiration!
Good to Great, Blink, The Tipping Point, Love is the Killer App, Getting Things Done, and Quiet are all books that resonated with me at various times.
Dare to Lead by Brene Brown. Love her leadership books.ย
Thanks everyone ๐ย

Start at the End: How Reverse-Engineering Can Lead to Success, by Dan Bigham.
"The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" by Stephen Covey
Elevate Your Career by Erin Urban is good advice no matter where you are at in your career journey.
These are all great recommendations! I also enjoyed "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" and "How to Win Friends and Influence People". I'm excited to look into all the other suggestions as well! Thank you, everyone!
the making of a manager by Julie Zhou
Thank you very much to everyone! ๐คฉ Please, keep the recommendations coming!
"PRESENCE: Bringing your boldest self to your biggest challenges" by Amy Cuddy talks about overcoming impostor syndrome so you can be more effective. She gave a Ted Talk about this as well, but the book goes into far more detail and is very well-written.
Say It With Charts: The Executiveโs Guide to Visual Communication
byย Gene Zelazny
ISBN: 9780071501859
An oldie but still a goodie.ย It totally changed my PowerPoint slides.
"How to Lead When You're Not in Charge: Leveraging Influence When You Lack Authority" by Clay Scroggins and Andy Stanley. It definitely helps you become a true leader regardless of their spot on an organizational chart.
Thank you all for sharing! Michelle Krista Beem Gabriel Stangl-Riehle ๐
Radical Candor: Fully Revised & Updated Edition: Be a Kick-Ass Boss Without Losing Your Humanity by Kim Scott. Definitely teaches how to manage many challenges in the management and giving you the best ideas on how to "criticize" your team the best way you can!
Designing Your Life: How to Build a Well-Lived, Joyful Life
By Bill Burnett & Dave Evans
Bill Burnett and Dave Evans are professors at Stanford University. The book draws on their experience teaching the popular course "Designing Your Life" at Stanford, which uses design thinking principles to help people design their own lives.
The book provides readers with a framework for applying design thinking principles to their own lives, helping them to identify their values, explore different career paths, and create a fulfilling and meaningful life. The authors encourage readers to experiment with different options and to approach life as a design problem, rather than as a predetermined path.
