Email and mobile notification "mute" or delay feature
Is there a way to delay or mute notifications from sending immediately? I sometimes work late to catch up or get ahead on projects, and it would be nice to not blow up my employees inbox or mobile notifications when they don't need to be thinking about work, but I don't want to forget to ask a simple question that they can answer during regular business hours - it would be nice if any notifications and emails could be held off until a more suitable hour - so any time I tag someone after say 7pm, it gets delayed until 7am (or whatever time I specify).
Hi Kyle, thanks for posting! Working after hours is something many people can confess to, and I've definitely been in the situation when I didn't want to disturb a colleague with an @mention intended for the next day. I've actually solved this for myself with the help of mobile settings. iOS allows you to schedule "Do Not Disturb" modes and add callers as exceptions, and on Android you can add apps as exceptions too. What I've done is muted Wrike and my work email app for the times of day when I shouldn't be thinking about work, and this is a great solution since I can manage all of the settings in one place (not from each individual app). This could be a useful practice to share with your team 🙂 Happy to discuss this further, as well as hear tips from other teams about their approaches!
You can accomplish this by first getting the email address for the Wrike task, to do this click on the permalink button in the top corner and copy the email address from the box that is titled "E-mail for sending updates to this project" Now that you have the email address for the task you can add a comment to the task or an @insert name here message to one of your employees. If you want your message to be delivered during business hours just delay the email. In Outlook this feature is under the options tab titled Delay Delivery. I'm late to this conversation but hopefully this helps.
I could really use a mute feature. We are currently syncing Wrike to Jira through Unito. If we make any update to the unito sync, Wrike spams the entire project team with the last update that was made to every ticket. There are times that we need to update the sync to include new status settings to a workflow or project.
This would be super useful as I usually have a "template" project that I duplicate and usually need to make changes to. It would be amazing if I could mute notifications until I'm done updating that project and then let everyone know that it is up to date.
Michael - I'm also looking for this kind of functionnality, and I've been wondering about using Blueprints to accomplish it. I'm still a new user, and haven't actually tested this in practice yet, but it appears that you could 'stage' a project from a template as a blueprint (assignees and project owners don't get notifications from Blueprints). Once the 'staging' is complete, you could use your blueprint to create the actual project?

While I've been leveraging blueprints for our project templates, I still feel the pretty clear need as a project manager to be able to «mute» all my changes while completing preliminary WBS work (and then «unmute» when I'm back in normal «production» mode). My stakeholders and team members currently get one email for every task I attribute to them, even if I do it with a single mass edit action ! They don't want to disable email notifications when assigned to a task, and I don't want to spam them!
I'd obviously want this mute feature to only impact the changes I make during the period it is activated, and not anyone elses normal production changes. Perhaps it could be active by folder or project, but I wouldn't mind just muting the notifications I make Wrike-wide for the period intended. Obviously, a big red sign in the top bar or something to remind me I'm in «Mute» mode would be helpful!

Thanks for getting back to us, Ryan Miller! Great to hear you're discovering Blueprints. I'm sure you know that, but in case others see this thread and wonder - when you add an assignee to a task blueprint or an owner to a project blueprint, it isn’t automatically shared and an assignee/owner doesn’t receive any notifications. However, an item is automatically shared with a user when you @mention them or add them as a follower.

It would be great to be able to mute recurrent tasks too, as my update (adding a single user) spammed the whole team with an email per recurring meeting in the series. Maybe this could be at the admin level, but being able to set those notifications (or no notifications) would be immensely helpful. We utilize blueprints but this is outside the series.
I also support muting while making mass updates. We went with Wrike for the capacity planning ability of tasks and assignments to the team, but often we have to make mass changes and the team doesn't need all those notifications.
