Hi Jason, thanks for posting this! You can actually filter by a certain Custom Field value - this option is available under "Advanced filters":
Is this what you were looking for? Let me know if you have any other questions or if I misunderstood the request!
I think we want to be a able to use the search tool in Wrike to search for data in custom fields. The filters are nice, but it would super helpful to find a task based on certain criteria in a custom field. For instance for some of our projects, we have the artist name as we partner with multiple artists to produce some our designs/products. The project itself is under a different name and in some cases could have more than one artist on it depending on the task. The custom field allows us to put artist name, and it would be nice to use Search in the top car to quickly find tasks associated with that particular artist. We currently use reports as a small workaround, but it would save a lot of time if it was integrated into the search.
Agree with Lauren. I would like to define a QUICK SEARCH for a custom field so my people can quickly query it.
Hi Wrike team, any new information on the possibility of this feature? Like the others above, we would like to be able to use the native Search Tool in the Wrike screen header to locate tasks/projects, rather than going in, drilling down, and doing a custom filter.
Our workaround has been to include these values as part of the project title and task naming convention, or as keywords in the description field, since the search box will return matches from these native fields.
Hi all, this is something our product team is interested in this idea, however, an enhancement to Search is not on the short term roadmap right now.
To help the team compile feedback from these requests, I will need to close this treads for comments (the Team will still have access to the info here).
Please vote and comment on this thread.
Our team can then refer to one post to collect data and use cases when reviewing the idea.
Thanks all 🙌
