[Status: Not planned] Showing subtasks in Dashboard when also on parent task
Hey, just a quick question: I note that whenemver I'm on both a parent and its subtasks only the parent task shows up in my custom dashboards and I can't seem to find an option to "include subfolders" or what have you on current dashboards. Is that something I can add to my current ones or can be implemented in replacement dashboards? Thanks!

Not much hope for a fix if this has been talked about from AUGUST 2017
Of course it's my managing director who brought up this fault.... was up until this point happy with Wrike.
But you've got to give him credit - this is a nonsense flaw that needs to be fixed people!!!!

We use tasks to set up our projects deliverables and subtasks to assign the individual steps to complete the deliverable. However, we need to track the deliverable (not subtasks) for time, completion, communications, and hours allocated. We need subtasks to allow team members to work against individual deadlines.
The structure is making communications difficult to track and creating redundancy. Not to mention confusion as subtasks don't carry their source task/folder with them in reporting or dashboard views. (This is actually a big problem for us. We need to see source task, even if it were only a chain like a file folder structure would have.)
Our need is to have a subtasks to say what to do and when (show up on dashboards AND be identified there by its source [our deliverable] AND have time and communication attached to the master task (because the entire team needs that information). Our team doesn't work in silos, and Wrike currently seems to favor silos.

Hey everyone, thank you so much for keeping this conversation going!
Quick update: this feature is currently not planned due to other important enhancements. The suggestion makes total sense and I understand how important it is to you. I'll keep asking for updates and make sure to get back to you with any news.

How is this still not planned?
This is not a "cute little feature" we're looking for -- it's core functionality that breaks workflow.

Lisa - your comment makes me long for an "unlike" voting option. Or maybe an "extremely unhelpful" option :(

We are extremely disturbed to see that this is still not planned, and has not been improved. There are obviously countless people struggling with this issue for years now and Wrike is treating it as though it were a feature request. This is not a feature request. This is basic functionality. Fix it.

Just adding my voice to the conversation here - a number of our users are struggling with this issue as well. It's quite frustrating that there is no plan to address this any time soon.

Well, it looks like the useless My Work is being killed-off further illustrating the need for centralizing dashboards and fixing issues like this.
Hey Wrike, I dare you to finally address this issue. I double dog dare you.

One solution I found is that you can set the parent as a milestone and then filter the widgets in dashboards to show one of only milestones and then one of only regular tasks. Not ideal but if you think about it the parent is more times then not a milestone saying all subtasks need to be done by X date
I do agree the dashboard functionality does need to be improved - they can be a great tool for teams and individuals but it is very difficult to manage multiple users to do custom setups of task types and everything consistently and if one person neglects to do it right it throws everything off.
I work with a multi-channel in-house marketing team and we do not have a core PM model. I do think Wrike is really geared towards a true PM model where all tasks and structure are controlled through core aligned team. Designers and copywriters, let alone channel leads are a touch bunch to wrangle in on process without having to micro-manage
