[Status: Backburner ⌛️] Request Form - autosave?
Request form – If a person is filling out a form and then they close the browser by accident before hitting submit does the form autosave somewhere? Also is there a way to save your request forms? I have many marketing managers asking me this because they tend to fill our pieces of the form sporadically.
I agree with Dominique and the many that have made this functionally request a major need for success.
Thank you for your continued support of this suggestion, folks! We don't have an update from the Product team at the moment regarding auto-saving request forms. We'll let you know if we have news on this in the future 👍

I'd also like to request this feature!
Not sure why this is on the backburner but this is needed ASAP please :) We have lots of people wanting to save their progress on request forms before submitting. Not being able to save progress on this kind of tool means having to create a draft outside of Wrike which is what we want to avoid. This is making change management very difficult...
I don't think this update is even on the back burner anymore.
The original suggestion for auto-save forms was made in the 90's when Wrike was only working a few hours a week at a coffee shop and was dreaming of making it to clown school.
The dream of the 90's is still alive in Portland, though.
This is still one of the most requested update wish-list items from my team. Our project request form is several pages long and not being able to save draft, requires the team to have to pre-write form responses outside of Wrike in order to input the information all at once.
The Wrike form is a great tool, or would be, if we could just have the capability to save a draft and return to it...why is this so difficult? This seems like high value low effort to me.
Been watching this thread for a year and a half wondering the same thing as the rest of you..
Adding my support again to this thread. This would be a significant feature to provide our customers and for our multi-page forms!
Hi everyone! Thank you very much for supporting this idea, please rest assured that all your feedback is being passed on to our Product Team and we will keep you informed in case there are any changes 👍
If there is anything else we can help you with, please let us know.
This would be an essential feature to add. Our team lives by the motto "if it's not in Wrike, it doesn't exist". Our projects are generated from external clients using the public link request forms. So we constantly encourage and promote the "motto". They do experience some frustration when they can't save a draft and will either enter "NA", "0", or randomly select options that often redirect to the wrong pages which provides our team with misleading or incorrect information. On our end, it requires additional effort to connect with the client to understand exactly what they need, versus the client providing the information in a thoughtful manner because they had time to save the draft and enter information as it was gathered. Would really like to see this feature come to life!
Upvote here!!
Thank you very much for your comment, Teresa Harding, we are very happy to learn that you and your team find Wrike a truly valuable tool. And of course, thank you very much for promoting its adoption among other colleagues 🙂
I understand why this improvement would be important for you and your company. I'm checking for updates with the Product Team and will provide you with a more accurate reply shortly 👍
Why hasn't this function moved from backburner since 2017.. This function would be detrimental in eliminating majority of ticket submission errors by over half, and time consumed by those who own these tickets to make the adjustments and the relevant parties aware.
Hi Valerie Carroll, welcome to Wrike Community 👋
Thank you for reaching out and supporting this idea!
We don't have updates at the moment, but your feedback is noted and we'll let you know if we have any news here in the future. Our team can't commit to working on all or even most of the ideas posted in this forum, but they prioritise based on votes, comments, and other planned updates.
Let me know if you need help with anything.

Any updates on implementing the 'save as draft' feature on request forms? As others have mentioned, this is critically important for our stakeholders and collaborators who need to gather information and complete forms in phases before officially submitting.
Having previously posted in this thread, I will *bump* this as well as a critical need for the Wrike system and one that can open a lot of opportunity. We are limited to the length of the forms we are able to construct as customers are losing the content within their forms. For our process, which is more "mandatory," we have to find ways to cut away any additional burden that will make the process more difficult.
Piling onto this request for an Autosave or Draft feature for request submission form.

Yes. PLEASE IMPLEMENT AUTOSAVE FOR REQUEST FORMS!
Is there a plan for this in 2025? This is a must have feature, please.
Thank you for your feedback, Gary Yeung and Krysta Fraser. There are no updates at this point, but we are forwarding your feedback to our Product team and will keep you in the loop regarding any future developments. Thank you! 👍🏽

This would be great!
Adding a draft/save functionality would be highly beneficial. This feature is available in other tools and supports efficient workflows in scenarios such as:
This functionality would enhance user experience, reduce errors, and save time for all involved teams.

Here's a workaround I put together to effectively create a draft request form capability. There are pros and cons so it may not work for everyone, but hoping this could be a solution for some folks. Feel free to ask questions or share your thoughts on it!
Claire OWEN-SCHUBNELL - I think the main point of the request form having a draft option, would be to be able to save the form as a draft before finishing it, to come back to fill it out later. Our forms are several pages long and depending on which options are chose, take you to different pages within the form. We'd prefer some sort of auto-save feature so that a draft is automatically saved of the form so you can pause and get back to it later.
Our workaround now that some team members do is to fill out the form quickly and submit it, then go into the project (once it creates a new project from a blueprint) and add to or edit it later.
I think the number one issue that most people here that have requested this feature, is filling out multi-page forms and accidently leaving it mid way through filling it out only to find later that they lost all of their info because they abandoned the browser tab or accidentally refreshed the browser window. Some form of an auto-draft-save would prevent this lost work.
New admin for our company just coming off a call where we're looking to expand the number of questions on our form and this would be a great feature to have in support of that. +1 vote from me!
I too am in need of being able to save a Request Form as a draft to finish later, as it's been a frequent request since implementing Wrike.
Example: Plant Manager starts filling out our Capex Request Form for a project. He gathers quotes & documentation from vendors/contractors. While filling out the request form, the plant manager realizes that he's missing a quote & needs to request it from a vendor. The vendor might not send the quote for a few days & now the Plant Manager has to start over on the Request Form.
With the amount of comments & upvotes, I'm truly surprised this ease of functionality hasn't been implemented.
