Effort: day by day?
As far as I have seen in the documentation (see: https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500005128261#UUID-f42ea63a-b46a-2f67-0ba3-639342a6136b) , it is not possible to define the effort day by day?
So the following use case is not covered by the effort/workload view:
One employee should work for a specific task in the next week only on Monday/Tuesday and Thursday/Friday (e.g., because of a customer requirement or an important other project on Wednesday). So I'll have a task from Monday to Friday with an effort of 32 hours. I want to split it into 8/8/0/8/8. However, it seems to be impossible to create such a common scenario. Wrike should offer a fourth selection (effort type) to define the hours day by day (or to unselect specific dates).
Thank you!
Bonus: If you are in the Workload view, double-clicking the daily effort for a task should make the field editable to change the effort on the selected day.
Hi Sebastian Nemetz, thank you for posting. Just to clarify, may I ask if you've considered using flexible effort? Using this effort mode, you can split the total effort differently for each day of the task's duration and for each assignee.
@...: Thank you for suggesting the flexible effort type.
I tried it before but I did not succeed, however, now I found out, that I had to use the Workload section. I always tried to define the hours in the task view where this is not possible.
But yes, this is more or less what I wanted. The effort field is editable and the effort can be defined day by day. So I have to use the Workload section to allocate the time, this is fine for me!
Thank you for getting back to me, happy to help with any other question Sebastian Nemetz 🙌🏼
