Run Automation on Current Tasks/Projects
I'm sure this has probably been submitted already, but couldn't find a post about it, so if there is one, let me know.
I think it would be extremely useful to be able to run a new automation on current projects/tasks. For example, we have a lot of automations based on completed projects or tasks, but I'd like to be able to run that new automation on all the current projects or tasks it applies to that already meets the criteria of the automation.
I understand this could be resource-heavy, which is why it's probably not currently an option, but it would be extremely useful.

Hi Maggie Dunn, you can have automation rules for already existing items! Could you please let me know what rules you'd like to create?

Can automation run on already existing tasks? For example, I am sending a task to a folder through the outlook plug-in that has a rule to change the assignee and set the workflow but the automation is not working when I send the task.
I have also tried sending the task through the outlook plug in and then changing to task to a project with the same automation trigger and the automation is not running. Do you know why this would be happening?

Adding in support and a use case here:
We're in the midst of rolling out a new layer of project reporting. I've added a new custom fields to allow projects to indicate relevant data points. I have automations set up to ensure NEW projects have these fields pre-filled with default values; but now I have to go back and manually update dozens of projects to the new default.
