Custom form drop down tied to users
I can link a form drop down question to a custom field and it display the options already configured. I'd like to do the same thing with users. When filling out the form, I could have a question like "who are you?" that would map to a task field called Requested By. That way the options woudl be dynamic to the currently licensed users.

It should be possible to map a short answer or a paragraph field type (like an answer to "who are you?") to a text-type Custom Field now. Or is it something different you're suggesting? Sorry if I misunderstood!

I'd like to access the user list so responses are consistent. Ideally we could count on people to refer to themselves the same way but inevitably with a lack of controls, we'd get the same user in there multiple times. Jason, Jason W, Jason West (or Jasno if I'm typing too fast). I would not want to report off of any field the is free text. I also don't want to maintain a custom drop down separate from our users.

Any update on this? I would like to use 'People' Fields in Custom Forms - it seems like a basic thing to do, and I can have the field in my table, but not write to it from a Custom Form.
Hi Stephen Keen! It's currently possible to map a user-type question to the assignee field of a task (or title, or description). I don't have an update on the ability to map it to a custom field at the moment, but this feedback is being reported to the Product team 👍
