A way to create a NEW copy of a google doc attached to a blueprint, every time it's used?

Hi -

We have built out templates that we use whenever we create new projects in Wrike.  If I attach Microsoft Word document to the template, each time the template produces a new project with a new copy of the document.  If I attach a Google Doc, however, each time the template produces a new project it just links to the original Google Doc.  Is there any way to have the template produce a COPY of the attached google doc each time the template is used? This would be a huge time saver for us.

Thanks!

community team I also have this question, currently we need to create the google docs separately then attach them to the task - any chance we can get some feedback here as to how to make this work?

Hi Dan Cliff, thank you for posting.

When you attach a file from your computer (local storage), it is stored in Wrike and attaches to the task. However, attaching files from cloud storage is different, it just adds the URLs of them in your task. These files are not stored in Wrike (only the URLs are), which enables you to save on storage space. Thus, when you copy a task, the link to the same files in Google Drive is copied.

If you'd like for the actual file to be attached to the task, please download it from Google Drive and upload it to the task from your computer.
