Regex (Regular expression) data validation in request forms questions.

At the moment there are only two ways user input to an answer can be restricted in a answer filed in request form question.

Text(Short answer/Paragraph) or Number. Is it some where in the road-map to add regex(regular expressions) check as an option?

Such function would help avoid time losses when users mistakenly input wrong data and prevent long unreadable titles (even short answer option is not really restricted in length) When some of these answers are set as  addition to sub-tasks it can create even more confusion.
