Automated Follower Email

Recently I discovered that by adding a follower to a task in my project it automatically alerts them via email that they are a follower. In some of our projects, a Creative Director could be assigned to nothing but a follower of almost 20 tasks. So when I assigned them of that, they got 20 emails from me rapid fire. We tried to go into email settings to remove that alert since it really isn't necessary and discovered we can't do that. I would love to see this edit be made to the system - no alerts if you become a follower or are removed as a follower.
