Reports on Projects that are active but all tasks are complete
Does anyone know (or can you even) run a report of Projects that are still active, but all tasks within them have been complete?

Hey Jagoda, thanks for reaching out 🙂 I was able to run a Report on a Project with a Green status where all tasks are completed, but it would be great to have more details on what you're looking to achieve with this Report. Waiting for your reply 🙌

We noticed that there is a backlog of Green projects with tasks completed (some projects have due dates of early last year!!) We wanted to start running a report to view what is still open, see who our biggest offenders are, and then with this knowledge correct and educate so we don't have this hanging around anymore.
How were you able to run the report?
Hi Jogada, when building the report you choose to Filter by certain statuses and dates. So for you, you can select all Project Status other than Green to see everything that isn't in Green Status. You can then choose to group the results by Owner in the last part of the builder.
See below:
@Stephen, I appreciate the example but this still isn't showing me what I am asking for. We need to see Green projects, that have completed tasks in them. Some of our project owners are not completing their projects as such we have A LOT of open projects that are just sitting there. We want to have insight into what tasks are left to complete the project (if any)
Hi Jagoda, I think I've got what you mean now.
Though I might need a little more information about your Folder tree to understand how you organize your projects so I have a better understanding of how the report should be created. 🙃
For now (if I understand you correctly), there are tasks within Projects, delaying the projects' completion - either because the person didn't change the status to Completed, or if it's still ongoing i.e. not yet done.
For this, you need to create a task report in the report builder. In the middle section of the builder, select the Folder where these projects live (or select the projects individually).
The last section of the builder is important: This is where you can select what tasks you want to see. For you, you want to see what tasks have not been marked as Completed. So under Status, select all Active. You can also choose to select some custom workflow by clicking More Workflows, but Active as shown below will show all tasks that are, well, active 🙂
Click, Table as layout, then Save and View.
Now, in your report, you'll have a list of tasks that are have an 'active' status in the Folders you've selected in the builder. You can click the 'gear' icon on the top left of the report and check the box for Parent Folder, so you can see what project it belongs to. You can also click assignee and other items there to add more detail column data to the report.
This should give a holistic overview of all tasks which need to be completed and are delaying projects from being completed. You can open each task from the report and update the Status too if needed.
Hoping this helps! If not, let me know, I'll ask our Support team to reach out so you can share your screen and get some hands-on help with getting this data! 🙂
I think I have the same problem.
I would like to filter Projects in green status where all Tasks have been completed but the Project is still active and NOT set to Complete. I can't seem to make a dashboard widget or report to do this. I know I can automate the Project to be complete if all tasks are made complete. But that is not what I want.
Hi Anders Kilbrandt!
I tried to create a report like that, and I think it's possible to achieve it! I created a task-based report with tasks from a certain space, and I chose the "All completed" status for them in the report builder. In the report, I clicked on the "Structured hierarchical view" button in the top-left corner and was able to see projects with their statuses where all tasks are completed. Unfortunately, the completed projects would show up here as well if there were any, but it's still a good way to see your projects' statuses at a glance where all tasks are completed. Please let me know if that helps!

Hi Lisa!
I have tried your solution and yes, it shows me the projects and the completed task but projects with tasks not Completed also shows up. I would like to filter out all projects where all the projects are set to be finished/complete. And by that I can set the project to be Completed or to send an Invoice or whatever.
Hi Anders Kilbrandt, thank you for getting back to me! I understand that this is not a perfect solution, unfortunately. Another way this could be achieved is Wrike's Automation:
You can set up a trigger (if all task statuses change to "Completed"), a project's status will be changed to "Completed" as well, and you can add another action to add a comment and @mention a specific user (you) that the tasks are completed, so the project is completed too. How does that sound to you?
