Set "All Tasks" as Default List View

It would be great to see the ability to select default views inside of the List tab for projects.  Every day, our team relies on being able to view completed tasks when reviewing projects in meetings.  Too often do we get confused why some team members can't see recently completed tasks because they haven't selected "All Tasks" instead of "Active Tasks."  While the "Active Task" view is admittedly cleaner, it makes viewing all the details cumbersome to have to change this view for every project we view.

I'd love to see "All Tasks" available as a default view for the List View tab.

This would be very helpful for our team as well. It would be nice to have the option to set the default by project, as well as by user. Then I could change my user default list view filter to be All Tasks, so I don't have to change it for every project I open.

Hey guys! At the moment, the filters are sticky - when you choose "All tasks" in the List View and then close Wrike, the next time you open it, it will show "All tasks" again 🙂 Please let me know what you think 🙌

Hi there,

I am having this problem with the new wrike and it doesn't seem to be sticky.

I have my table view set out the way I like it with the current folders I'm working on open but everytime I go off I have to reselect "all tasks" - and it is being quite slow to refresh as well,

thanks,

deb

I agree with Dylen. I'd love to see "All Tasks" available as a default view for the List View tab as well.

It is inconvenient and terribly non-intuitive to hide things from the user with the default set to "All active tasks".

It seems to me like it could be a quick fix on the back end. Why not simply change it?

Hi Patrick Burd,

Thank you for your post!

The "All Tasks" filter is the default setting in Wrike. However, Wrike also remembers how the filters were previously set, so changing the task filter to "All Active Tasks" would be remembered for next time. If you've changed the filter back to "All Tasks", but it keeps reverting to "All Active Tasks" or another filter, please try clearing your cache to see if it helps.

It's also important to keep your browser and Wrike desktop app updated to the most recent version. Outdated browsers and apps can cause performance and display issues.

Let us know how it goes and we'd be happy to ask our Support team to reach out to you if you're still having problems, thanks! 😃

I've been having issues with this since the new Wrike updated, as well. I have several folders that default to "my active tasks" rather than "all tasks," and every time I open that folder I have to change the setting. Is there a way to set the default for a particular folder to override this?

Although I have cleared the filter to enable me to see "All tasks," when I return it shows "All active tasks." Please let me know if there is a way to default to "All tasks" for each project. I am using the Table view.

Same here, it's incredibly frustrating to have to clear the "all active tasks" filter every single time I open a different project. Even refreshing the view causes "all active tasks" to reactivate. Please give us a way to lock this!

This comment thread is over three years old, and apparently nothing has been to address our concerns. It may sound like a minor inconvenience, but it makes working with Wrike painful for some of us. Not a great user experience.

Dear Lisa, and the rest of Wrike, it's not sticky. I just followed your instructions, again, changed the filter to all tasks, closed wrike, reopened it, and it still defaults to "all active tasks" which is very time consuming to fix when you are on zoom meetings and wrike works slower. Could you please consider make all regular views, table, list, etc default to "all tasks". If people want "active tasks" as their default, they can create custom views.🙏

Agree - with all the above - showing "all tasks" as the default would be much more helpful - and have the option to change it back to "active" if required :)

is having "all tasks" be a default, a feature we will see implemented soon?

Hiya, I would like to have this feature as well. As soon as I switch between projects, it defaults back to 'All active tasks' each time instead of being sticky. And the result is that all the completed tasks are hidden. As I'm in the Gantt Chart View as my default, this is really weird and a surprise each time. You would expect to always see the completed tasks in the past for the Gantt view. Otherwise it looks like half your project is completely gone!

Did this ever get resolved?  I am unable to set a default view.  When I close Wrike or switch to another project and return, the view and filter has changed to List and maybe All Active Tasks.

Hi Curtis Jackson, it should be possible to set a default view; I'll ask our Support team to reach out to you about this 👍

As the admin for our organization, I get regular calls asking "what happened to my task?" This is not a user-friendly function.

I have the same issue with our PMs.  I have discovered, very late, that if you are creating projects from blueprints, set your defaults there and new objects created from the blueprints have the default views you want.

This does not fix the already created objects which could 10s or 100s of objects.

There should be a config window to set a default view for the enterprise or for the user or for all items that I select.  Maybe add such an option that can be changed using "Mass Edit":.
