Would like to be able to view notification history

Sometimes I will get a desktop notification about a task, click on it, and won't be brought to the relevant task. It would be nice to have a history of notifications. These don't show up in the inbox. They do show up in the stream, but there are many other things in the stream that I haven't been notified because they don't pertain to me. The system is a bit confusing.
