Task vs subtask due dates

There is something that makes me miss some subtasks due dates.

The way I usually work is that I click on my “active” project folder which consists all of my active projects and list the tasks according to due date and start working on them. But the problem is that the subtasks won’t show up in the list view.

I have a lot of occasions where the due date is not known for the main task but the subtask has already a due date. So when I am in list view and sort according to date, that main task goes to the bottom of the list and I miss the due date for the subtask.

I think this needs to changed.
Let me know what you think.

Hi Hadi, your subtasks should show when you click the expand arrow on the left of the parent task.

I just have a few questions about your workflow process and folder structure:

  • Subtasks are usually related to the due date of the parent task, not always, but often. If they're not, it's best to make them a separate task and add a dependency.
  • I'm wondering if you might be best to use  Dashboard view and create a widget with your active tasks. This view is a lot easier and once you add your criteria it's a great place to review what's on your list of things to do.

Hope this helps, any questions, I'm happy to discuss 👍
