Make Files View Available to Collaborators

We work a lot with Documents within Tasks for many parts of our processes.  A Collaborator has to know which Task a document is in to be able to access it.  So it feels like, having created the Files view, that making it available to Collaborators would be really useful.

We moved from Basecamp to Wrike and our clients really relied upon the Files section. It's helpful for them to quickly find files by scrolling instead of trying to remember the task or file name.

Wrike team, any news here?

We have many users (Collaborator and external user) who needs this possibility.

Hi Heiko Benke, thank you for bringing up this topic! This suggestion doesn't currently have a required number of votes to receive a Product status, but I'm checking with the team anyway, and if they do have an update to share, I will let you know here 👍

We noticed that our Collaborators do not have access to File View. Is it planned to add this View for them?
We would highly appreciate this simple View for them.

Our technical colleagues and commercial colleagues mainly work in other systems and not Wrike, so usually have a Collaborator license only. Handing over to them, the Files View allows them to quickly and easily access and download all the files in a project in one place, and use them in other systems.

Without this, the handover is made more inefficient and risk of manual faults increases.

Thanks a lot for sharing detailed feedback here, Christina Fischer! I'm passing your feedback to the team.

I don't have an update at the moment, so more upvotes here would really help 👍

Just checking to see if there is any update on this? It would be so efficient if the Collaborator license would allow them to see the Files. vs. having to search though the tasks to find the file. Hoping this can be an enhancement soon!

Thank you for reaching out, Jaime Reuter I apologize for the delayed response. Currently, we do not have a new update to share. However, I would like to share a workaround that may be helpful.

If a Regular User adds a Table view to a project or folder and enables the Files column, Collaborators can see file thumbnails and access files from there. This view must be set up by a Regular User before sharing, and in some cases, Collaborators may need to manually add the Files column themselves. I understand this isn’t an ideal solution. We’ll make sure your feedback is shared with the Product Team and will keep you posted on any updates 👍
