latest update in a task is always at the bottom
Something my entire team and I are finding quite frustrating is how the latest comment added to a task always appears at the bottom of the task post. It would make more logical sense to reverse this and have the latest post at the top. Therefore it's the first thing you read or see when viewing the task.
Yes! Please!
Our team is also experiencing critical communication issues due to the updates being add to the bottom and not the top on the status notification emails. Many of our internal stakeholders who receive the emails are missing attachments and updates because they don't know to scroll to the bottom for the latest. Please fix this!

Hi Michele Mason, thanks for reaching out!
Our team is working on quicker navigation in the comments stream, and they are planning to release this improvement this year 😊

How do I go about configuring this feature that was planned for release in 2021?
Hi Migara Dharmadasa, welcome to Wrike Community 🤗
We announced this release back in 2021 as it had been planned - we introduced quick navigation buttons to be able to click to the latest update in stream. Please find more info in this Community post and let me know if you need any help 🙂

Thanks Lisa, It will also be nice to have an option to display items in reverse as a personalisation. I used to use other task management packages before and it was convenient to see attachments and task description and dates etc while reading the latest update upon clicking on an email update. Even emails always show the latest update first. it will be a nice feature to display most significant content on the top.
Task history usually always goes beyond the bottom of the screen, so it makes sense for the latest updates to be shown at the top and older, less pertinent, updates at the bottom. This is how emails, and many other familiar systems are configured. There should a setting, at least at a user level, or for consistency at a companywide level, for showing updates in reverse order. Adding jump to buttons are not the same thing and not a solution to this feature request. The buttons are simply a work-around that serve as a constant reminder that this feature is missing. The buttons cause me extra work to constantly have to locate and click them. If you have a mouse, then a few flicks of the scroll wheel are faster than using the buttons. Without a mouse wheel, it is a very cumbersome, and as reported by the original poster 6 years ago, "quite frustrating" system that you are providing.
Hi Migara Dharmadasa and Michael Henderson (welcome to the Community!) thank you for your detailed comments, please rest assured that your feedback has been noted.
I understand that the available option is not exactly what you're looking for and that the ability to sort from newest to oldest would be appreciated by many users. Our Product Team is aware of the popularity of this suggestion and we will keep you updated if any changes are implemented 👍
If there's anything else we can help you with, please don't hesitate 🙂
