Duplicating tasks to several folders - suggestion

Hi Tara! I just tested and when I duplicated a task it kept both of the Folder tags applied. Can you let me know if it's working differently for you?

Please see below the options I have when duplicating a task, I can only put it in one location at a time. The task that I am creating is also a separate task per folder/client and therefore should only have on folder tag. This is why I have to duplicate the task to every folder but can only do it one at a time.

Hi Tara, the duplication will only be created in a single location. However, if the original task is tagged in other locations before you duplicate it, these locations will carry over to the duplicated task.

So to be clear on this request, you want to choose various locations at the point of duplication i.e. an option to choose multiple locations in the dialog box above? Thanks!

@Tara Sorry that we're jumping back and forth between people here, but thank you for the clarification. When I originally tested I had multiple tags on the task before duplicating. What you're saying makes sense!

We have the exact same need: a folder for every client, and identical tasks that need to be added to every folder. They can't all be the same task as they are completed independently and at different times. This feature would be a huge time saver!

Did anything ever come of this?  Our team has the same need.

Placing my vote for this!  It would be nice to duplicate to many projects at once, and not just one at a time. I currently have around 30 projects under my personal folder, so when my teams template project gets updated, I have to update all 30 projects individually with the new task. 

I'd love to see this functionality as well. It would save our team a large chunk of time!

Our company needs something like this to update it to several areas of wrikes for multiple projects instead of doing it one by one. 

This would be a huge help for me. In fact without it we'll probably stick to excel for that part of the workflow which is a shame .

Can this PLEASE be addressed

I have a workaround for this since it seems they aren't going to add this obviously necessary and SUPER BASIC feature.

Create Project "TASKS TEMPLATE"

Duplicate Project "TASKS TEMPLATE" and rename it "TASKS TEMPLATE 2"

Select all Tasks in TASKS TEMPLATE 2

A menu should come up on the right (or it may require a right-click after multiple task selection).  Anyhow, see screenshot for this one.

Choose MOVE TO and then choose the Project you want these tasks moved to.

Delete TASKS TEMPLATE 2 (and keep original TASKS TEMPLATE for future use)
