Timelog interface issues

I used to be able to put 8.5 in timelog to get 8hr 30min but now I can't do that anymore.
Also, please have timelog remember previous filter. I have to click filter and user (me) every time I want to see my hours, or go back to previous version where filter was always on for easy access, or put filter button on right side so I don't have to click left side and then right side.
