[BUG] Dashboards don't populate "Add to Dashboard" without Refresh
As in the title - you have to refresh to get a dashboard to appear in the Add to Dashboard list, or to see the updated name if you renamed it.
Of course, refreshing Wrike has its own problems, so this isn't an ideal workaround.
Just so I'm sure what you're seeing, it would be great to hear where you're choosing the Add to Dashboard option and how you've populated the list you're looking to add to a Dashboard.
Thank you!
> where you're choosing the Add to Dashboard option
List view, usually after a search using operators like folder: and notin:
> how you've populated the list you're looking to add to a Dashboard.
If the aforementioned doesn't answer this, I don't know what it means.
Thanks for expanding! I've raised a ticket with the Support Team to help. They'll be in touch soon 👍
Hi there,
This isn't the exact same bug, but also a "refresh" issue on dashboard view, so figured I'd add it here:
When in my Dashboard view, certain updates will happen automatically while others require me to refresh the page to see them "move."
For example, if I change the status of a task to "Done" and then X out of that pop-up box, that task will be removed from my Task List. However, if I mark an item as "Changes Required" and then X out of the pop-up, that task will still be in my Review List until I refresh the webpage.
There are other instances where this happens, but for the sake of length I'll leave it at that.
Bottom line: It would be great if the Dashboard view was more consistent with its auto-updates / background refresh / whatever the backend functionality is!
Thanks!
Hi Annie Wiegel, thank you for bringing this to us. I've opened a ticket with our Support Team so our agents can investigate this behavior. You will be contacted very soon 🙂
If you have additional questions, please let us know 👍
Did anything come of this? Some of our people have dashboard widgets that are watching the value of a custom field and they don't update unless manually refreshed. This doesn't seem right, is it a bug?
Hi Ben Gladwyn! Could you please let me know if you're using the new dashboards or the classic version?

Hi Lisa,
How would we check and is this at an account or user level?
Ben Gladwyn, we have a Help Center page here with the instructions as well as screenshots of the new dashboards.
If you're using the classic dashboards, no updates are planned for them as the plan is to switch to the new version once it's ready.

I am having this same issue with the dashboards not auto refreshing. We are using the new dashboards.
The situation is when a task is added that is not assigned to anyone, the dashboard will not auto refresh for anyone but the user who created the task.
