Hi Lauren! What types of buttons were you looking to see added to Request forms?

We were hoping to have a button for users to be able to download the following fillable form. Right now it is a dead link that they have to copy and paste and doesn't work for a lot of people. https://www.wrike.com/frontend/requestforms/index.html?token=eyJhY2NvdW50SWQiOjEyOTkyMzAsInRhc2tGb3JtSWQiOjQzMTQ3fQk0NjUwMDI1MTg0ODA0CTgyYzMyN2FhMzRlNzM5N2QzYmY1Y2EwMzhmMmVmNjBjNWNkZDg5ZDQ2YjE5OGYzMTk2M2MzNGJhY2NkZmVjOTE=

@Lauren Think I get it! You want a preconfigured button that you can easily plug into a website? That's a really cool idea (we use something like that for iOS and Android app links). Even though we don't have anything pre-made, you can always hyperlink a button with the link to the Request form.

Also, let me know if you want me to edit out the Request form link from your previous answer - just so people don't have access to submit requests!

Hi Stephanie, no that's not what I'm asking. Within the request form itself, we need clients to be able to download an excel sheet. Right now, we don't have an option to have a link within the request form. There's a dead link that they have to copy and paste but a lot of clients are having issues doing so. It would be easer if hyperlinks and/or buttons were allowed within the request form. When will that become an option? See attached screenshot. Thank you. -Lauren

Hi Lauren, jumping in here for Stephanie. I understand now. Our Product Team are aware of the idea and currently, this is not on the short-term roadmap.

Currently, the idea of a Request form is capture information in the generated Wrike task, so moving away from the form to enter data to a document is not how the forms have been used. Though I can see why this is import to for your process, and perhaps others, too.

The below is admittedly not a great solution but perhaps we can make it a little easier to copy and paste the required link:

  • Format: Add the link to a new line break to make it easier to copy just that text.
  • Try using any URL shortener online so that the link is a little shorter and easier to copy.

Not ideal, but a few formatting tweaks might help for now. I'll make sure your idea here brought to the attention of the Product Team and I'll update you here when we have more concrete information 👍

I support this request, and like to add something:

Buttons would also be fancy as an alternative to a dropdown menu. If I want to redirect to a certain page of one request form regaring to selected options, buttons are easier so click than choosing a dropdown entry, especially if I only need few options.
