Field in Project Table view that shows what task is currently active
Our team has a want for a good "at a glance" way to see in the Project Table which task is actively being worked on within a field in the table view without having to expand open every project to see where we are at in the task list. The thought is that it would pull whatever task is in "StatusName" into a Field through an automation or formula.

Have you tried creating a Dashboard widget filtered to show only tasks in “In Progress” (or your chosen status), grouped by project? This setup provides a quick, at-a-glance view.

Yes the team does have dashboards that do this but the specific ask is to have this visible in table view, not dashboards.
