User Individualized Custom Access
One of my colleagues recently expressed some frustration regarding our current access permissions setup. At present, we offer six distinct access roles, and we've been using this structure for as long as I can remember. The concern raised was about the lack of flexibility, specifically, the inability to enable smaller, more targeted capabilities for individual users.
The issue arises when a user needs access to a single feature but must be granted a broader role that includes permissions they don’t actually require. This approach isn’t ideal and can lead to unnecessary access risks. I agreed with the concern and suggested that we could either modify an existing role or create a new one to better suit the need.
However, the idea of assigning granular permissions on a per-user basis is compelling. It would allow us to fine-tune access—restricting or enhancing it based on specific needs within different areas of the platform. While I haven’t yet explored how Wrike might support this kind of customization, we wanted to share the concept in case others have thoughts or experiences that could help shape a potential solution.
Hi Byron Gill, thank you very much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback with us. I will make sure to share your post with our Product Team for their visibility 👍
