New Timesheet Interface
Hi,
Have I missed the announcement that the new timesheet interface has transitioned from the Labs to production? My users are now seeing a new interface without any training, and I haven't had any notification to be able to plan for and deliver that training. Is there any way of disabling the new interface and returning to the old one until such a time as we have been able to evaluate its effectiveness for us?
I do understand that one disadvantage of platform-as-a-service is that we aren't in control of when new features are released, but the least I would expect is open communication from the provider that things are going to change.
Phil
I've had to reach out to my team to let them know that we are not using the approvals feature and to just ignore it. Unfortunately, Wrike assumes that approvers are responsible for specific people and not the tasks in specific projects.
I am not sure if this is exactly relevant to the OP's question, but agree in the annoyance of pushing through new changes without warning. As someone who uses timesheets daily, the new changes are subtle but maddening. Somehow the text is smaller but all the fields are larger with less relevant content on the screen. The size of the input field is larger than the table field, and now I can't press tab to move to the next cell??? These are useless changes which make it less functional, not more.
Thanks Derrick Riley and Stephen Barnecut, it's good to know I'm not alone in my frustrations. I completely agree with your comments, Derrick - the new interface is a huge regression in useability, I have no idea why timesheets were targeted for "improvement" when there are other, more pressing things that could be done.
Which is becoming a regular occurance with Wrike - it's a bit frustrating. Our users have lost trust into the product and are increasingly annoyed with Wrike, since there's always some new change awaiting them, which disrupts their workflow. That's how I learned about the roll out of new time sheet - a call from one of our project managers, asking me, why it's now all different and where all those tasks are coming from.
Thanks for your input here Ralph H it would be nice to see an explanation from someone at Wrike about this issue.
Any update here? This interface is atrocious.
Agreed @Derrick Riley The complete lack of response from Wrike in this instance is incredibly disappointing. I can only infer that the reason they aren't addressing this is because they just don't want to.
Hi folks! Apologies for the late reply here, but there's another very similar thread here.
To quote one of my previous messages on this topic, we understand that adjusting to these changes may take time. If you need additional preparation or have any questions, please reach out to our Support team. We’re committed to addressing your concerns through our ticket system. Additionally, we're collecting feedback and will consider developing a UI to address any high-demand needs more effectively. We appreciate your feedback here and we'll keep you posted on any new developments.

Lisa I think the vast majority of people here understand that adjusting to changes takes time, and have no problem with that. What we do have a problem with is the decision by Wrike to roll this feature out with zero advanced warning. Giving us that warning would have allowed us the time to prepare for and adjust to that change that you say that we need, that's the ironic thing here.
Change happens, that's a fact and we get it. It's how change is communicated that is important, and I have yet to see any comments from Wrike explaining why this change was made with zero advanced communication. Giving us an explanation would go some way to restoring people's faith here.
I would just like to clarify, this is not a matter of adjusting to new developments. I will gladly accept new features as they are rolled out. But the changes made to the UI for input are cumbersome and clunky, and seem to serve no functional purpose whatsoever. It seems like changes were made to the interface by a group that doesn't actually have to input timesheet data every day. Below is only a portion of the fields I have to enter information into. And now I can't even tab into a new field and type without double-clicking *every*single*time*
Imagine opening an excel spreadsheet and having to double click into a cell every time you wanted to type.

Hi Rohan V
Thanks for your input! But there are two major issues with the approach, which I don't feel like are heard from our feedback:
a) features are repeatedly rolled out without notice. We are not asking for consent, but we are asking for a notice period, to prepare our teams for the changes.
b) the updates replace existing parts within our workflows. Example: We are tracking our time on a minimum amount of 5 minutes, which means all of our team members must track daily and in high detail, which is what we need the timesheet feature for. We can not just "hold it off" until we have adjusted to the unforseen changes that disrupted our workflow. Now, the changes to the new layout of timesheet are minor compared to some other changes over the last year. Honestly, if it was just that, we probably wouldn't have minded - but within the context of the many, many changes over the last year(ish), it's getting tiresome.
In general: We are using Wrike to enhance productivity, but with the recent and partially unnanounced changes it feels a lot like Wrike is starting to negatively impact our productivity. Another example: I am still getting daily complaints about the speed of New Table View (which now also affects Dashboards, as new Table View is used within the New Dashboards).
Personally, I am a fan of Wrike - I've been using it at different companies for most of my career now - but at this point, it is getting harder to reason with our teams and stake holders about our choice of Project Management System.
Hi Rohan V. I agree entirely with Ralph H's first point - this was never about "user consent" and to pretend otherwise is disingenuous at best. For me, this has always been about the complete lack of notice that things were about to change.
How can we plan to not use an updated feature if we are not given any notice that the feature is going to be updated? Dropping un-communicated changes on your admins, who are usually the most pro-Wrike users in an organisation makes them look unprepared and unprofessional, which is a really bad thing to do to them.
This point has never been adequately addressed by anyone at Wrike and indeed the many messages about it are being completely ignored. This experience has given me zero faith that this will not happen again and is absolutely on the list of reasons why we might want to leave Wrike for another system.
