Add description field to custom field table
It would be helpful to see a description field added to the custom fields table. Are there plans to do this or is there another request that has been submitted that I can upvote? Thanks!

Agree! It's really difficult to explain the purpose and input criteria to some fields without this feature. A hover-over (i) that reveals the description would be fantastic, but any way to enable a description to a field would be good.
Also, if possible, could you please provide an example of how you intend to use it?

I agree that it would be helpful to liink the description field to a custom field in table view. We can use this in multiple use cases:

We recently announced the ability to add descriptions to Custom Fields. Account admins, space admins, and users with permission to edit custom fields can now view and manage these descriptions directly in the Custom Field Editor and Custom Field Management. You can find more details in this post.
Regarding the suggestion mentioned above, our team is currently researching the possibility of displaying descriptions and other custom field information in the Table View. Please keep an eye on our Weekly Release Notes forum for updates, as we will post any news there.
