SUM, MIN, MAX Links in Table View

I really don't like having the MIN, MAX, and SUM links actually in the table cells in Table View for 2 main reasons.

1. They get in the way. I have to now make columns much wider so that these links/labels don't cover up my data. So, every column that has a calculation has to be half an inch wider than the data itself. This is inefficient, causes my entire table to be wider, and much more scrolling back and forth in the view.

2. It is very dangerous to have these links right there and easily tripped over. I have on multiple occasions accidentally clicked on SUM or MAX/MIN just trying to click in the cell. These links are right next to the data in the cell, and if I want to edit the date or a number value, and accidentally click on say MAX, my data is now gone. The data and these links both take up the cell space, so you can't just click in a cell to edit it, you have to be sure to click in the right end of the cell so you don't accidentally click on the links. This is poor UI design.
I have had other people accidentally click on them as well and then we have to try to re-engineer the data we had in the dates or number fields that got lost due to the accidental click. Once you click on these links, the data is replaced and lost, so even if you turn it off, the data is no longer there.

I would much prefer to have a right click or some other mechanism instead of having a floating link that constantly gets in the way and winds up being a hazardous link right around all of our data. I want it to be a conscious decision, not an accidental mouse click.

100% agree with the feedback. I have run into similar issues with data getting replaced by mistake.

Thank you, Lynn Graham!

This is a case where convenience becomes problematic. We need the community to get behind this one and help get it changed before people really run into major errors in their project data.

Having the same issue. I think it's helpful to know whether the cell is calculating, but would also like to hide the indicator from view once finished updating. Looks super messy
