Email notifications and CTAs should open in the desktop app
When the desktop app is installed and open, and an email notification comes through with a call to "Open in Wrike," it should open in the Desktop app instead of opening a new browser tab.

Hey Robyn, that definitely makes sense! Thanks for sharing the idea, I'll pass this on to our Product Team. The app is quite a new feature, so it's great to get feedback about it. :)
Hi Robyn / Anastasia
You can change that on the webpage that is presented before opening Wrike.
You are asked if all your future notifications should be opened in the app. Just tick the box, and your problem is resolved.
I hope this helps 🙂
I don't see any option to change away from the default opening of Wrike in browser instead of the desktop app when I click on an email hyperlink. Any other details you can provide Rui or is there an alternate solution?
@Devin Hi, thank you for reaching out and sorry for the late response!
I think this is what Rui meant:
I hope this helps 🙌

Good Morning - This situation has been a nuisance to our team for some time as sometimes the permalink will work correctly adn be re-directed to the App and sometimes it wont. I think that what is happening is this (assuming that the user has chosen the "Open Link in the Wrike App":
- IF the permalink is generated from a task, the web page will open and then be re-directed to a "separate windowed" task. This works as intended. altough it would be great if this would open up the App and task would be open on the preview on the right hand side of the App.
IF the permalink is generated from a Folder the web page will open and there is no re-direction.
Our team creates permalinks a lot, so it took some time to realize that the re-direction only appears to work for tasks and not folders. It would be great if this could be changed. We have pushed our team to use the App and having some functions open up the browser is counter to the way we wish to work.
