[Status: Launched! ๐] Multiple folders in dashboard widget
When creating a new widget within a dashboard, you can choose a folder from wich tasks should be selected. It would be nice be able to add several folders in this view, and with an additional choice of selecting whether it should include the tasks that remain in either one of the folders, or just the ones that are in both.
Also, when dragging tasks to this widget in the dashboard, the task needs to be put in both folders. (Or maybe one could check/mark the folders that one wanted the tasks added to)
ย
I know that I can achieve somewhat the same behaviour today, by doing a search for "folder:folderB" from within folderA and add this as a widget. But that gives me the problem that when dragging a task to this widget on a dashboard, the task will only be added to folderA. Also it is rather cumbersome to handle widgets this way.
Hi Aleksander, thanks for writing this up! I'll make sure to point this out to our Product Team and to other users who may be interested in seeing this functionality.ย
I just want you to allow us to choose more than one folder in a widget. I don't know about dragging and dropping, or searching for folder:xyz, I just want to be able to select a second (and third, and fourth) folder if needed.
Agree that it would be great to include tasks from multiple folders (not just sub folders) in a widget. Thanks, Wrike team!!
I've been using this for only a few hours, but see how important this feature would be already. Please add this ๐
@Will welcome to Wrike! Thanks for the comment here and let us know if you have any questions as you're getting started.ย
ย
I am also looking for this functionality (to add multiple folders to a widget). Any progress been made on that since the beginning of this thread?
Hi Laura, thanks for bumping the post and welcome to the Community.
It's not currently on our Product Team's short-term roadmap but has made them aware of the feedback for when they're reviewingย future updates to the widget functionality in Dashboards. I'll be sure to post here if/when I have new information ๐

While trying to make my folder structure simpler and more flat ,i found this functionality critical to have a possibility to select few folders ( at least 2 ) inside dashboard widget.ย
I'm also very interested in. Waiting for short term roadmap updateย

Having the ability to be able to not only select multiple folders in a widget, but also unselect some subfolders on folders that are added would be on benefit.ย
The instanceย that I have come across the most is thatย I have selected a folder for my widget (including tasks from subfolders), in this particular folder there are 9 subfolders. I will need to see the tasks from 8 subfolders, but not the ninth because that one contains multiple projects which is clogging up the tasks in my widget. I alternatively do not want to have to create 8 separate widgets to have to separately track the tasks in those subfolders,ย or change my folder structure which besides using a widget serves me perfectly.ย
Hi guys, I can totally understand how this could be useful. I've raised to our Product Team and I'llย post back here once I have an update to share ๐
Definitely interested in multiple location options for widgets! It is ideal for a design team who is a shared resource for a US and UK account. (Very common to have one of many teams as shared resources between multiple countries).
New to Wrike and adding my vote here as this was the first thing I wanted to do when setting up my Dashboard.ย Thanks for listening.
Dashboards, similar to the functionality of calendars(or reports), needs the ability to add multiple distinct folders.ย I have a data conversion folders in each module folder.ย I need a single dashboard that only presents items in the data conversion folders, but not the rest of the folders in the modules.ย
Example:
-HCM Folder
ย ย ย - Configuration Folder
ย ย ย - Data Conversion Folder (should show inย the dashboard)
-Payroll Folderย
ย ย ย - Configuration Folder
ย ย ย - Data Conversion Folder (should show inย the dashboard)
Agreed ๐ this sounds like a request that has been many peoples hope.
CAN THIS, WILL THIS happen?
This request is over a year old and wouldn't it be easy to complete?
Rough guess it would be similar to a database select query of sorts?
If this is coming, PLEASE SHARE information ๐
This would be most helpful!ย I am unableย to create a dashboard widget that consolidate all my active tasks across a Team folder and a Personal folder while excluding any tasks that exist in an Archive folder we created for completed and dead projects.ย ย
ย
Having the ability to include multiple folders in one widget would be EXTREMELY helpful for my company. I know that it is possible for the calendar setup so I hope this is a feature that will be updated for dashboards ASAP.
ย
Thank you, wrike!
Yes, I agree with Rochel Karp. That functionality would be extremely helpful!
ย
I'm shocked that this isn't an option! Would also love to see the ability to exclude multiple folders (like - all tasks, except if in these folders).
This would be incredibly useful for us as well. Just adding my vote. If someone is keeping track of multiple teams, the ability to add multiple folders to a dashboard widget would save the day. Given how much vocal support there is for this, my hopes are high that this will be implemented.
The Wrike Support Team showed me a way to solve this over the weekend. You can use the search function to get the results you want in your widget and then simply add the results to your dashboard. Here's how to do it:
ย
1. Use the search commandย folder:"Folder Name" foldername "Another Folder", etc for all folders you want to be included.
2. In the results, click the filter button and add any filters you want.
3. Once the results contain everything you want in your widget, just click the overflow (more options) menu. It's the 3 horizontal dot icon to the upper right of the search results. Choose "Add To Dashboard" and then select your dashboard.
ย
I hope this helps someone!
Hi Wrike Team,
I have to support the request here to have a function that allows to choose from multiple folders (single selections) when creating a widget.
Thank you for adding this function!
I would appreciate seeing this happen. It would give me a better view into my work.
@WrikeTeam will there be an update on this soon? This thread has been active for over a year.
I tried to replicate what @TomDuffy did as I understand what that is supposed to look like but unfortunately am unable to get the results I'm looking for.
I was not able to replicated multiple folders in one list view as @TomDuffy suggests.
Is there something I am missing?
I tried the workaround as well an unfortunately had no luck. I think this would be an incredibly useful feature, so would love to see it on the Wrike team's roadmap!
This functionality would be really useful! Is there an update on when this might be available?
must add!!!
Hey guys, thank you for your continued support for this feature ๐ You might have noticed that we've added an "Investigating" status to the suggestion, which means that our Product team is looking closely into it. I'll get back to you when I have more info. Thanks!

Am I crazy or shouldn't it be possible to simply select the *ROOT* folder of our Wrike account? Why can't I just do that?
Hello! Just adding my voice to the many who think that this would be great feature to have. ๐ Please keep us posted.
