Simple Timesheets to track effort against project by month

It would be great if you could get your team to enter timesheets against projects at the end of each week in a simple workflow (ie low friction) where they can easily enter time spent each day on the project.

Most of my team are offsite during the day.  The project manager is really the only user of the Wrike so that they can manage the delivery of each of the tasks.  Given our techs only have limited computer time we are trying to keep it very simple so that they can assume hours spent on the project at the end of the week.  This information is required so that we can capatalise the labour cost from a financial perspective.  In previous systems there has been options like:
- tech can select the project
- have a screen displaying Mon / Tue / Wed / Thu / Fri
- enter hours into a box under the corresponding day
- click save
- sends to Project Manager to approve

Hi Sam, welcome to the Community :) Thanks for writing this up, the use case is really interesting and I can see how adding time entries in bulk could be useful. I'll make sure to direct other users who support this idea to your post!

+1 Agreed. I'm looking for something similar here (https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115000415809-Billable-Hours-Report) but using the Reports to create the "Monthly Timesheet" from corresponding timelog entries.

Our group would also find a simple time log useful

I do not see any response to this thread.  Were the User Stories ever addressed?

@Scott welcome to the forums! 🙂 Our team is currently working on updating the Timelog. I can't guarantee that anything here will be released, but we are working on a new version of the Timelog View which is currently in Labs and incorporates categories for time tracking and an updated UI.

Hello it’s been a while since there has been any update on this. As a project planning tool Wrike is great but really we can’t use it properly or for everything unless there is a convenient way for resources to say what they have worked on in the week.

is this view out of labs yet or ae there further changes planned?

Ps clicking on the time log view link in the post from Feb takes me to an error page. Does it even exist?

Any news about a time-sheet option by week or month? The link doesn't work.

Hi guys, there's no update on this right now and it's not on the short-term roadmap.

Please keep your use-cases and votes coming. This helps the team understand the popularity of the request and also how exactly this feature will help you 👍

Thanks 🙂

Currently trialling Wrike but the time logging limitation to just tasks rather than a project as a whole is very limiting.  Interested to know if anybody has a workaround to this?

Also - has anybody been successful in linking time-reporting to Slack?  I'm ideally after a '/' command ie . "/wrike 5 hours projectA" this would log 5 hours to projectA against the slack user who wrote the command...

As a person entering my time by project I seem to have no way to view my total hours entered, a simple timesheet. Am I correct? I have tried building a report for my total hours logged and it does not seem possible. This seems like such a basic function for this tool?

@Tim,

You will need to build out a report to view time entered. We analyze time in a few ways, time spent this week, time last week and overall and we have separate reports to view the time.
