Automation rules
It would be great if we could setup automation rules that update a custom field value based on the folder that a task or custom item task is located in. This feature would enable our project data to be passed on to the tasks within the project based on the main folders the project sits in. Our use-case here is to enable our Wrike Analyze reports to become more robust with the ability to slice and dice task-level reports with project data fields.

Hi Zachary Dilworth, new actions have been announced this week, you can check more details here. Now it is possible to change the value of a custom field when the item’s location changes. At the moment, this possibility only applies to checkbox custom fields, but our Product Team is working on expanding the feature to more custom field types.
