Hi - I'd really like this too. Specifically, I'd like to be able to see the "effort" field at the top of every task/project in List view. Somewhere here (see screenshot). mdr

@... - any chance it could get added to the product team's list? It really is a huge inconvenience for users.

I have the same problem. The solution above isn't helpful, because it sorts by some combination of start/due date and effort, not by due date. I want to see things in the order they are due. Any so...
