We continue our discussions about Wrike’s in-app Onboarding Templates, and today we’re highlighting the Go To Market template.
Using Wrike’s Onboarding Templates
Launching a template from the gallery creates a ready-to-use space in your account that consists of sample folders, projects, and tasks and may include additional work items and tools like Workflows, Custom Fields, Dashboards, Reports, and more.
Go To Market
Bringing a product to market may involve many steps. The go-to-market strategy may include analyzing the competition, developing messaging and positioning, aligning the internal teams, and coordinating with external partners.
Wrike’s Go-to-Market (GTM) Plan Template is designed to guide you through that process and helps you manage it. It breaks GTM into phases and tracks progress using the Gantt Chart and Dashboards. Organizing your go-to-market strategy by phases allows you to make sure all the components are in place to get your product to market successfully.
The go-to-market plan template is designed to help product marketing teams manage every stage of their launch from strategy and messaging to competitor analysis and content development.
You can use it as a reference to managing a GTM plan with Wrike. The guide included in the template walks you through 4 stages:
- Break your GTM plan down into tasks and assign them
- Work on tasks and review the progress of each area using the Board View
- Plan your GTM project and track performance using the Gantt Chart timeline
- Track GTM project progress using the Dashboard
Step 1: Break Down Your Work
Split the project scope up into actionable tasks. For your convenience, this template contains 5 folders that represent 5 stages of your GTM plan. These folders contain sample tasks that you can rename, assign or delete to meet your needs.
Step 2: Work on Tasks and Review Progress
To review progress for each stage of your plan, use one of Wrike's Work Views. The Board View is set up as the default view for this template. The view shows tasks organized in columns by status. Use the Board View to:
- See what tasks you need to work on
- Track task status
- Change task status by dragging and dropping tasks from one column to another
- Create new tasks
- Right-click the GTM Project
- Hover over "Set default view"
- Select the appropriate view for you
Step 3: Plan Go to Market Activities & Track Performance
If you haven’t set the tasks’ start dates and due dates yet, now is a good time to do this.
Use the Gantt Chart Timeline View available at the top of the task list to see the project plan and drag & drop tasks to manage your schedule and milestones.
Tip: When you reschedule a dependency, all subsequent dates are automatically updated. However, milestone tasks are not automatically rescheduled.
Step 4: Review GTM Progress

Tip: To customize this dashboard, click New Widget at the top of the screen and select any one of the available widgets. These widgets are configured to display a variety of data so you can get all the critical information you need at a glance.
