Feature Updates

We added a new question type for internal Request forms called User. During form creation, this question can be mapped to title and description.
When you submit a form, User-type questions allow you to select from the list of all active account users (collaborators, external, regular, and admins).
User questions can't be added to external request forms. If you make a form with such questions external, all User questions will be removed automatically.
 
  • Search - More Items Shown in Quick Search Results 🔎
Before: When you entered a search term, you could see up to 20 folders/projects/spaces/request forms in the search panel that opened. For anything more than that, you needed to open full search results.
Now, the limit is set to up to 100 in the quick search panel.
 
When you hover over a booking in a workload chart or resources view, a new tooltip appears. It displays the name of the booking, the number of hours/day, and the total number of hours in the booking. The number of hours/day has also been added to the booking bar itself.
Please note that Bookings are available on accounts with the Wrike Resource add-on and the Wrike for Professional Services packages. If you're an account owner or admin, you can enable it from Labs
 
Before: If a Workload chart had tasks with allocated effort that weren't displayed on the chart because they were filtered out by the "Displayed tasks only" option, the cell would show a dashed underline below the number of allocated hours.
Now: This underline will no longer be shown.
  

Fixes

  • Slack - Task Creation From Context Menu Not Working
When some of you tried to create a Wrike task from Slack by clicking the three-dot button next to a message in an integrated channel and selecting Create task, nothing happened. It's now fixed 👍
 
  • Effort - Allocated Effort Automatically Replaced When Copy-Pasting on Table View
When some of you added effort to tasks in the Table view and the table portion of the Gantt chart by clicking the effort cell once and pasting the number in it, the task effort type automatically switched to Full-time, and the pasted number was replaced. This is fixed as well 🙌

Adding the users to request forms is really great! Now we just need groups in request forms as well.

Lisa why did you take the dotted line out of the workload chart when time is filtered out by "Displayed tasks only". It did not disturb anyone and was a clear signal that something is missing when I look onto my daily time. Without how can the user simply recognize that he does not see the full workload?

Here we get a possibility for problems and I do not see any advantage.

Lisa I also have feedback on the User-question in Request forms from Ronald Otmar Theil (I think similar to Jen Derry's comment):

It would be good if this user-question could be linked to other custom fields (like in the other question types).

But I think this has already been implemented with the latest releases in March!

Thank you for your feedback, Joel Senn. You're correct, this has been released recently!
 
You'll see in this week's Weekly Release Notes that we added the ability to map answers from user-type questions to dropdown custom fields. In addition to that, you can map answers to the assignee (for tasks) and owner (for projects) fields.

This is great. Is it possible to get the User field to populate the assignee for more than just the one task? Can it apply to subtasks as well? For example, I have a form that now uses the User field to populate the assignee in a Wrike Blueprint, but I it only assigns the first task, not all of the empty subtasks below, can this be done?
